The French Cannoli` Hash Thread

Hey there Frenchy,
I've really enjoyed learning more about making hash, pressing and curing. Thanks for sharing your acquired knowledge with all of us.
I have a question about the type of bags used for pressing. I think the type you used in your hash video #1, is a poly bag which is the common plastic bags like zip lock freezer bags, etc. I've watched enough videos and read enough to notice some hash makers are using cellophane bags which are more a harder, crunchy type plastic bag like the type used on a cigarette pack.
I wonder if the cellophane bag would resist hash sticking to it any better than the typical poly bags? Common cellophane "gift" type bags are normally thin but I found a site which offers a thicker 4 mil version.
What are your thoughts on using the cellophane verses the poly bag for pressing?
If you think it is a good idea, what size bag would be good for general use? The available sizes are listed below.
2"X 2"
2"X 3"
2.5"X 3"
3"X 4"
3"X 5"
4"X 4"
4"X 6"
5"X 8" OR
6" X 9"
I'm curious because if I order some, it would have to be for a package of 1000 bags because they don't offer lower quantity. If you think they would be a good idea, I'll get some and would happily share them with my fellow hash pressers.

Man that's pretty impressive, my kaboom might be the only plant i'll do on it's own from now, i'll be mixing kushes and cheeses together from now on...genetics plays a big role and though i love their bud DNA and RP seed dont ocme close to TGA for hash making (the strains i've run anyway - mostly kushes)"Going back to hash making, what's the smallest batch you think is worthy of being processed frenchy? I've been running a lot of smaller batches and felt like i should wait for more material - even if it meant mixing 2 plants - to get a good run... I was either agitating to hard or leaving to much trichomes on the sugar leaves after inspection."
I ran a very small batch (just 1 large handful of trim) of my fresh harvested Timewreck as I wanted to try washing some fresh trim, and it came out well worth my time. A small yield of hash, but considering how little trim I used the amount of hash seems pretty large. Gotta love TGA for that reason
I am certainly excited to process the rest of the Timewreck harvest!

The "dry sieve first/ice water" next idea got me excited! It would be interesting to do some cream dry sieving then collect the rest using the bubble bags, very promising!

Click on your name at the top of the screen, scroll down and on the left you'll see a spot that says albums click on the more button, then click create new album

I would stick with the zip lock, turkey bags are fine as well. As long as size goes it will depends on the amount you want to press at any given time, small quantity is better for high quality.

When you are on the page of your album there is a light blue-ish line, if you pass your mouse over it toward the right, you will see the upload button as you pass over it.

Any chance of finding these anywhere? Got my lady hooked on pressed hash and need to get something for her to store it in.That is how my logo looks on the hash containers

Sounds as yummy as it looks.
The Timewreck is very sticky when fresh, a little less with dry trims and the amount of trichomes is very impressive.

What are you extracting using water besides trichomes and wax? I am trying to understand theoretical maximum yields on a 100% efficient process (in a perfect world, not our own) and yes I know it is strain dependent...bottom line...is 30/40% yield impossible because there is not that level of quality material in the plant.
