The French Cannoli` Hash Thread

It is what we called "export press", usually done with a clothes around the hashish. It is press without heat, any "locals" would hand press it before smoking. My hash is also much lighter inside, should always be and it does not matter how much you press it, to a limit. The quality of your trichomes will reflect in the color of your hashish
Frenchy can you elaborate on the color to quality, what color does the best trichomes create, worst?

The colors are not a sure bet on the quality, more an indication of the origin. Check up the few pics of Charas and Hashish I posted earlier and you will have an idea of the palette available.

Here you go Frenchy! I usually use Rize's method but I tried your's this go. 1 thing I recommend is waiting 5 minutes after you press to pull hash off of plastic bag otherwise its to warm and gooey and sticks to plastic. I can definitly smell the terpines more. 4 week cure and we will see if its tastiest hash ive ever made! Thanks Frenchy...

Picture quality sucks sorry im not Camera literate I guess...

Did a nice run of the Girl Scout Cookies (forum cut) today... Man was it a mess. Some of the oiliest stickiest resins I have ever touched. The water did not turn purple, it turned burnt motor oil black. This stuff is just a terp grenade

Some of the Nugs....

I also did a run of the Holy Grail C99 F1 (electric pineapple pheno) as well. I call this stuff the Holy Grail Holy Grail... haha... It's just pineapple candy for days. This shit will have you peaking out of your blinds every 5 minutes to see if FEDEX has made it or not...

She has a nice red/pink hue under natural sunlight.

Man! your pics are as bad as the hash looks good. The color of your hash is unreal, please pretty please, would you try again.
A little cooling before cracking the plastic open after pressing is wise, a few minutes in the fridge is also fine.

Sorry Frenchy my camera sucks! The color is nice light color. When i pressed it was very transparent. The new pic the cannoli has oxidized alittle where i broke it earlier today for you to see. Smells incredible!!!

It does look incredible despite the quality of the pics, very transparent when you press is a real good sign, when you have the smell with it you can call that a winner. What is the strain?

Not too long ago before reading this thread I thought this was a true french press
French Press.jpg

But now I stand happily corrected and someday soon I hope to be able to produce a real Frenchy press
This is my standard now, this is my goal anything short some more trichomes I must rub and roll.

n'importe quel moment mon ami, n'importe quand. Ce serait un honneur de se frotter et rouler avec vous.

Anytime you find yourself in the Great Pacific Northwest let me know, mi case su casa! mi trichomes su trichomes, mes trichomes sont vos trichomes.
Or course they are Blue Cheese trichomes, since you like indica and it's more indica then sativa you may like it. Besides I grow organically in PHOGS.
So its all good trichomes or flowers.

I stand corrected, THCA and CBDA will transform in CBN through an overdone decarboxylation process or just time degradation. Thanks for the info.
Can you please share what this means to the layman, especially concerning the process of rubbing and storage. I think I understand where you want to harvest right at the peak of THC for best hash?

I'm sure there are some folks who might not fully appreciate what CBN means in relationship THC or CBDs

THC and CBD "transform" through degradation (time, heat, direct sun, bad storage conditions, etc.), that the trichomes are on the flowers or collected does not change the volatility of the cannabinoids and terpenes.
This is THE reason why pressing is an art form and so important, you can literally "stop the degradation" and actually optimize smell and taste, concerning potency it is a little harder to judge without lab test, if there is any loss it is minimal.

Hey Frenchy,

Quick question: we didnt cover "finger hash"/"cissor hash" at all. Would you press those? They dont seem to age like bubble bag's hash and do contain a lot more of impurity so to say. Would you advise on letting it dry and then press it?
I usually smoke all of it before i have time to work it but i was pretty disciplined yesterday and just smoked a joint of it so if pressing was advised i'll get at it tonight :)

Have a dank day!
