Ya I got mine from the trimshop. It was 125 I think plus they have sweet 20% discount for EXTRACTARTIST code I think. I got the machine, 8 bag all mesh set, and the essential set (6 bags with raised side walls 220, 120, 70, 38, 45, 25) for $400. Good deal I thought. This is Nikka's outfit up in CO. The essential bags are quality the full mesh are a little cheaper build, not quite as nice as the boldt bags, tho I have never held in my hand their full mesh style bags.

I run the machine with a 220 to catch trash. My 190 is usually trash 160 too but I've gotten surprises before like nikka mentioned in the 160 and once even the 190 was blonde and melty. 120-38 are the goods and I rarely even get the 25 wet.
My spin buddy got his machine from boldtbags and it took forever as they were waiting on a shipment from china. He also paid more. Its hard to compete with direct sales or middlemen who don't gouge for bbags I guess. They should cost around $100 if you dig. Google mini washing machine. Also got word Lowe's has a stainless mini on discount right now but I have not seen it yet. Air em out and wash em good when they are new. They are made for clothes not our precious resin glands!

Afghanis use the same technique but I thought it was to keep the loose trichomes before press, may be they do both or I got it wrong at the time.
As you can see aging Hashish as been going on for a while and note also that they work during the hotter part of the year.
Thanks TriksterGod for the article, perfect example of the value of traditions

CA brought me a little trims from that 78 Pakistani cut. I have just enough to get to discover such a special plant trichomes production.
This Paki cut must come from somewhere around that valley or a little higher up in the Hindu Kush, in Chitral.
I did some "studying" in that neighborhood and have some vivid memory of it but I am not sure that I will be able to give you a comparative study, that was in 1980..............

HI Frenchy I'm just getting ready to order my all mesh bags but I started thinking since we use the machine do they really make a difference, I could see with hand stirring how they would but seeing that were draing from a small tube do you think the all mesh is necessary Thanks

The all mesh are better and makes a big difference, the better draining the better sieving, they are also lighter, easier to keep clean and stronger in general. You are also sure that there is no plastic particles coming from your bag which happen often enough after a little use.
They are custom made and perfect in my mind and for my need.

Yeah definitely watch out for cheap/old bags adding plastic to your collections! And be careful with cleanliness to avoid fuzz and other particles from entering your product while working/drying etc. I can't wait to see the paki hash Frenchy!

yes sir, this was a mock run for a better batch i produced it was all of the bags together no seperation, the pics were taken before the dry and the press was done 6 days after the dry, i was not impressed by this run and yes on the next run i chopped way smaller, humidity as a factor hovers around 11 percent here regularly very very dry. extreme altitude. im going to take a pic of the other runs finished product and post it, id love your thoughts....

You should keep the 45 separate, and 73 to 120 together. Try to use more heat and press smaller quantity at a time. Repress in your hand a small piece and see how far you can bring the press quality.

i remember you sayin it was quite difficult to over rub the hash or over work it, i guess thats been my main trepidation in pressing it, fear of over working. my questions are - what happens when you over work hash and secondly what does a good timeframe for pressing hash look like? 2 weeks 2 days, until its done...im sure experience is everything just like the rest of this business.......my ears are open frenchy

You press your trichomes when your are sure of the dryness then you press. You CANNOT over work/press your hash as long as you do not use heat over 240-260 which would be hard.
I press flat every pieces a few time to be sure that I have an evenly done work and then I cure in a glass container like we do flowers.
The best is to press little chunk in your hand for a good 20 minutes until you get to know the smell and texture of pressed trichomes, you will feel more comfortable after a while and will be able to use hot water
