that's a fight that could easily go to the supreme court, and with the recent additions to the court, it has about a 50/50 chance of passing.
there are all kind of first amendment issues to be dealt with, and a long battle about the definitions of words and their application to different groups....and you have a fight to get it past your city. once you get it past your city, you have to keep the momentum going and get other cities involved....
which would be easier if you had some kind of organization.....i'm sure a lot of effort is being duplicated, and some things that should be getting done, aren't....because no one is aware of what anyone else is doing...and no one is calling any shots.....you got lucky that your mayor is sympathetic to your cause, and doesn't want to upset his constituency...there are a lot of other cities where they administrations won't be sympathetic...and the constituency will be against you....what do you plan to do in those cities, to bring the unwashed masses into the light?

Until the city's legal staff and police find a means to stop fascists from flying and driving in from all corners of the country to riot in Portland then the good people of Portland will continue to stop them like we did this summer.

Regarding "getting lucky" about our mayor. He was elected to office by the people of Portland to represent us. He sees the crowds of people. Those people elected him to represent them. Others who aren't there show support at the ballot as well. We are a lawful assembly of thousands, peacefully resisting fascism and if he doesn't act with us he'll be replaced. It's too funny how you can't accept that and advocate civil war instead. We are doing exactly as this democracy was designed to do. We aren't the ones who are causing the violence.

You seem to want to start a civil war. I say go for it dude. The vast majority of the people in Portland who show up to counter demonstrate have no intention of fighting, including myself. I won't move out of their way and won't initiate combat. On the other hand we don't criticize others if they want to fight. I won't criticize you if you want to organize a militia. Just keep it legal, Ok?

Thats too bad. Ive never had mental health issues so Im hoping my firearms stay pointed in a safe direction.

White birth rates are lower? So are you saying white people are planning their child havings more carefully than other races? Just means the rich white people are gonna have to split their wealth in less directions.

Trump takes stupid and evil to a whole new level, more a Dofus than Machiavelli, stupid and evil in equal parts and incapable of ever saying or doing the right thing. Imagine how much trouble America would have been in if this idiotic asshole had a plan and the brains to carry it out with complete control over 50 million American morons.
