It's quite a marvel of engineering, the LED Ceiling. Did you use some kinda heavy gauge wire on the LEDs, or does the picture just look like that? Your plants are gonna love it in there!

Yeah...it isnt the smallest gauge...grabbed it out of an extension cord...yeah putting plantz under them today... should be good.. :)
Very nice chron! Love the "light chamber"

Makin use of all sorts of leds...DIY at its finest

May want to put some grills on those fans..little insurance for the wires and your fingers..lol
Yeah that is a good idea...those fan finz...would probably fly to pieces if a wire clogged

Ok...so i have a little problem developing.... I have 5 plantz lined up....and i take one off every 2 weeks and replacement with another...

The problem is the lack of air movement that is hitting the middle plant... (fans come from either end) So it is starting to get torched by the AB above it....The otherz under the AB's dont have this problem as the air movement is sufficient...

hmmmm.....how to get air movement to it in a tight space........i might be able to find some 4cm fans....i guess some movement is better then nothing...

Or i can get some replacement 120mm fanz that really move some air.... http://www.quietpc.com/

don't know if you have access to 'em but old xbox 360 fans move nearly 75 cfm each.... in a pair it's about 150 cfm... they run off a 12v dc up to about 1.5 amps and could hook right into your panel...look at ebay for some or check craigslist in your area for someone who fixes 360s.... just an idea for you to play with...

are you using those little fans to cut the heat from the lights mostly?

Im looking at building a new cab, i may have to pick your brain later if you dont mind as far as fans go for input and output of air. I know what I want to do for the most part but unsure about a few things, once i put pencil to paper for dimensions more i'll let you know, if you don'd mind.

Great looking diy leds btw, love what your doing!

Basically itz a design flaw with the shape of my cabinet....where there is a calm spot in the middle....so In a very tight spot, i just need a little bit of air to move the leaves around to stop the burning of the LED above it.....

Yeah...sure i dont mind answering your questionz... :)

^^^Don't know about that one but I think Newegg.com has a pretty good review sections of their pc fans. I went with dual COOLTRON 80mm AC fans with speed controllers for my veg cab exhaust and they are useless. They were suppossed to be for audio/video equipment but they are waaaaay too loud for that. Plus they aren't standard size, don't move air for shit, got a brain dead way to be plugged in and one already broke. Beware! Anyway I'm going to chuck them and go with the 120s from my VIPAR. Maybe I can salvage the fan controller at least.

Hey COOLTRON, EAT ME!

Shit, my CREE bulbs and Hans panels always singe my leaves but the Illumis don't. Their die are buried in the package and that's encased. But if your plant is that close to a F3 for too long you get some weird difficiencies going it seems. And I know shipping is your guide but like I say the review section is usually pretty accurate, except for the fuckers who one star stuff because the delivery agent dropped the package or it came a day late. I hope Hell has a special place for whiny bitches like that because I don't want to have to hear that shit for all etermity Goddamit!
