Someone give me a refresher here...........what's more effective on PM, acidic(lemon) or alkaline (milk)???????

@ greensanta, thanks again for the great idea of using velcro ties/ fabric pots! fucking love it........my defoliation was for increased air circulation around the affected area(center), and most of the removed leaves had serious necrosis.....don't worry, I hate removing leaves too:P
skim milk 7 to one with water...mist....pm gone

Why would you want less transpiration ? Well that all depends on what your water supply is like and how humid your environment is also how humid you wish it to get.

I just thought it was funny and interesting that compared to sun farming new style led food farms can use a lot less water also your less reliant on weather conditions to ensure your crop comes in on time.

For example with 90% less water needed you could build a farm in the desert surrounded by solar and wind generators you could use them to power your lights as well as your cooling system and you could grow using a lot less water then if you just stuck some soil on the ground and planted up

So we could turn a desert into an indoor farm using 90% less water then normal farm land, and you could only really do that using led as you`d need very little far red to pull it off, I thought that was worth a mention and did not think I`d have to explain all the reasons why it might prove useful

It would also make farming in space where there`s far less water that tiny bit easier you can see why NASA looked into red/blue leds and not white grow lights it`s really quite amazing how adaptive life is.

Looking nice psu man just need them babys to start getting fat, I moved a skywalker into my flowering area today and I have a g13 labs super skunk outside that`s loving the sun were getting now she gets bigger everyday it`s crazy how fast she`s growing but she does have a big head start as I geminated her around xmas time lol.

I bet if you could remove the battery and rewire the IR leds to run the whole time. I think you would have better results. IR 730 just doesn't appear at sunset, it's there the whole time in late summer and fall. Other places around the world closer to the equator, IR is there year round. Thats why in hawaii you have to veg indoor first or plants will flower right away outside or do 12/12 from seed outside.

The phosphor blend already emits a 730nm wavelength so there is no reason to run those diodes at lights on. The Pfr switch is initiated with 730nm exclusively at lights out so my understanding is they were added to the pontoon to create that sunset condition when the plants would not be exposed to any other wavelength except the 730. Running just those 730 diodes on batteries means no additional timers or power supplies.

Imo all the wave lengths should be there. Dim down the blues slowly over the last hour then every thing shuts off at once. Once its dark outside. The sun isn't shining on that part of earth. So there is no IR then. Only moonlight if out and star light. Now if it could dim like that. The 14/10 theory could work. Or just grow in a planetarium.

With 730 and 760 combined with 630 and 660. Shit takes off like crazy. That 760 has caused flowering during veg for me but not petflora.

Well ok allow me to rephrase. Why would one who is growing cannabis indoors want to slow transpiration and plant growth? If one would simply reduce the number of plants it would accomplish the same thing. And regardless reducing transpiration to conserve water in deserts or space is still ridiculous as if you want it to grow so slowly it will produce nothing. One should think botanically about these things. Regardless of scenario slowing plant growth is not a goal for anyone hoping to harvest use from the plants besides just aesthetic appeal.

I mean as your example is 90% less water usage. 90% less transpiration. 90% less produce. Then just grow 10% of the pant mass or stay with all the plants and never be able to produce a thing. Can't rewrite how plants work. Nor would using less in place of the sun through use of solar panels as that is so very inefficient that it would be much more feasible to employ the energy of sunlight and use more efficient means of controlling humidity water usage and recycling. Like Saran Wrap? I mean c'mon, you loose so much to the inefficiency of the solar panels and LEDs that really can not possibly make any practical advantages.

I can't believe I have to point out that reducing transpiration by indoor cannabis growers is preposterous. And btw NASA declined led as a light source for space growing as well as admitting that not including all wavelengths was an error. You should see what type of lighting they were last experimenting with before having to shelve it along with almost every other project they were close to developing due to the govt. needs killing machines more than space boy fluff. Such idiots politicians are. The whole lot of them.

Thinking back, I MAY, or, MAY NOT have been using the Wave Point Coral Wave bulb (~730-780) during veg, at the time that I increased my V&B nutes to 500+- so jury's out on that

I know bro. Was messing back with ya. You are just funnier than I. Try coconut milk. It's a actually good. Lol
So Delicious brand Ice Cream Sandwiches.... MMM
I think I prefer almond milk to the So Delicious Coconut milk though; except for maybe the cholcolate... that's pretty good.

Sorry, don't let me derail this thread....

Been real busy with this US open golf shit!!! I hate golf by the way......... I should have gone to Rutgers for Turf management, you don't even want to know what the head grounds keeper makes at Merion golf course........fucking insane

will have an update soon(in 2 days max)!!!! it's not pretty..........lol
