Went ahead and switched to HPS. Been about 8 hours now with the HPS on them and about 12 hours after topping.

The branches are stretching upward towards the light. Not sure if this is because of the light change or the topping.

Should I lower the light a few inches below where I had the MH? First time doing both bulbs and I read somewhere HPS runs a little cooler than MH.

Any thoughts?

Here are some shots check out the ladies.

Wattage is the same as the MH (250 W) Light is about 15" above the ladies. Possibly because of the different wave lengths of the light?

250's don't give off much heat.
That's what I started with, then went to 400w.
You can get them 3 - 4 inches from the canopy with a 250.
Plus, 250's are only good for 2ft max penetration.

Thanks Flo, I'll slowly lower the light. I stopped by the local hydro store. He asked if I was using anything in my reservoir to stimulate root growth... No was my answer... I told him I thought I'd have more roots by now seeing as its week 4 since germinating. He hooked me up with a mixture of foliar spray which was bad arse free of charge! Inside was some Hygrozyme. Then told me about Great White which is a powder that you mix into the nutrients he said using that in the reservoir and the foliar spray w/ Hygrozyme (only during veg for foliar) has made his roots massive... Anyone using a root stimulator? I am using 5" net pots that are fairly deep... Rockwool cube sits roughly 3/4 way up and below that is all hydrotron rocks.

On another note, someone brought up that their PH is out of control. I asked him about that he said he had been doing research on the subject and that he came to the conclusion that it was the hydrotron rocks and the silting that was causing the fluctuations in the PH. Someone he spoke to suggested rinsing them (prior to grow of course) in H2O2 solution, soaking them in PH of 5.0 over night and then using them in the net pots. Probably more to it and more variables but just thought I'd pass on some information. I'm only using 1" rockwool cubes but not having the swinging PH like that one user mentioned. Although thinking back on it he wasn't using nutrients so there was no buffer.

Yeah I was told the same thing so I bought a folair spray its organic nute based but says its fine to use.. Its Diamond Nectar from General Hydroponics. It says to use it as a foilar spray every 7-14 days. and the dude at the hydro store said to spray it right before my dark period .. my roots are growing good and I'm on day 16 since moving to the reservoir.

Probably 36 hours after topping... Ladies are still arching up the AK48 has relaxed slightly. PPM gone from 650 to 615 PH holding at 5.8-5.9 Water temp less than 70.

What's your nutrient schedule? Are you using GH products? Grow, Micro, Bloom? I'm doing Lucas Formula

Floragrow
Floramicro

Floralicious
Going by GH's online nutrient calculator. I did my first res change yesterday and have the PPM at 530-560 now..

Okay trying to get these nutes under control think I'm going too fast been a few years and all my notes have gone missing.

What I basically did was added 4GA water to reservoir then put in 15ML Micro, 30 ML Grow, 15ML Nectar. The Micro & Grow alone took it to ~550 PPM (225-250 PPM Tap) Adding the 15ML of the nectar brought it up to 630-650 PPM drained about 1/2 ga out of each and added back tap water. PPM 550-575 Adjusted PH to 5.80.

I foliar sprayed with the nutes that the hydroshop guy gave me so hopefully the ladies will respond accordingly.

They're looking good Weedler.
I only use FloraMicro, FloraBloom, KoolBloom powder and might add FloraNecter sweetner.
Regular not the Pineapple.
Thinking about getting the pineapple when I grow some C-99 this Winter !!

Thanks Flo, I'm worried about the yellow leaves on the lowest node need to get past this nute burn issue and hopefully she can rebound. I can't wait for the Jock Horror to get here I'll germinate ASAP and run her under my t-5's in the closet and buckets then switch to cooler when she's ready for flower :D
