In one sentence he contradicts himself,

it is all done here in Michigan. Assembly is in china but...

but china has no quality control, or oversight standards
Just because something is made in China doesn't necessarily mean it's crap.

Just because something is made in the USA doesn't necessarily mean it's not crap.

Each product is worthy of its own investigation and conclusion.

Very true,

But that being said none of my tools will be from china, no rigging equipment, and no medicine.

LOL my ballast and light are from china, work perfect.

But anything with my life, im going USA, tool wise, on the farm, construction, etc

Just funny wording they used, saying "But" after its made in china lol

Classic blanket marketing statements....i guess as you learn more your standards naturally go up in what to expect in a good LED....Companies like Lushlighting (and sadly there are still a few of them) prey on the uneducated. Or maybe they are simpletons themselves...?

And these big corporations you mention, apple, chevy volvo... being part of automobile american industry they are subject to all our standards and tests, to meet US requirements, such as even a windshield on an imported china model is not sufficient to our standards and must be change before registration, but somethings and lower companies from china can ship many things to the US that has never been tested. Apple may follow american standards but manufacture in China, just a little diff. IMO but sadly everything in one way or another is from china, its about the quality control at the company and their standards i am worried about

And therein lies the problem. lol

I can guarantee there are fantastic Chinese owned, and run companies that work to achieve high standards in their fields. The problem is finding them without getting your pants pulled down.... :(

Lush isn't junk because they are made in china. They are junk because they do not perform in the parameters that I personally have determined to be for good performance. And they lie out their ass. I have made it pretty clear that I believe that PAR measurements are the best way to determine performance. Lush/e-shine have a much lower par reading at all levels than even other chinese panels(cidly is my pick for china). Let a lone american companies that are using components that will out perform by at least 75% to begin with.

I have personally called lush. And when the very uneducated stoned kid(I smoke all day but can communicate) answered the phone he couldn't answer any of my questions. He passed me off and I talked to a guy who said they use 10 different cree's(there aren't dif cree's worth using) and that 2 were custom for lush by cree(ya right). They also claim 180,000lm's or 2000µmol on their main page. Then when you get to the product page the best that it does is only 155,000lm@12" or 2000µmol@12", which I still don't believe. I really can't trust anything they say. I also saw them at the high times cup, and I was anything but impressed. I didn't have a par meter so I could tell for sure but I have seen plenty of units and those were looking pretty weak. They also say you need to hang it at 30" to cover 4x4. And at that height it's only doing 550µmols. That is very far from being close to 1000w hps. Even if their spectrum is perfect.

An educated consumer is an led retailer's (any retailer, really) worst nightmare.

Only ~ 10% of current mmj led market (more like < 5%) are worth buying

the car companies, gm, ford and everything they own except jaguar and Dodge after the split with Daimler Benz they were all U.S made until Obama stepped in. Now all their plants are in china. They are all assembled in the U.S. Even Japanese, German, Swiss, Korean, British etc... Due to taxes.

Smaller items are assembled there. Don't have quality control in china
my windows phone broke in the first 24 hours. Quality huh. They wouldn't replace it. The type of screen damage. So I had pay full price for another one. I got a lower model. That is built better ironically. There's a reason why all electronics have a minimum 1 year factory warranty.

if these led were made by Philips or Sony or Samsung or apple or microsoft The quality might be higher. They have a certain standard. Well maybe not Sony. But you know what I'm saying. All of us on here know better. Unfortunately the famous growers and their followers don't.

Can honestly say i had never heard of lush before yesterday, havent heard of most led companies that seem to pop up over night though to be fair. think its funny he is basically saying tga and sub endorse his lights a.d i find that rrally hard to believe... news flash one soldiers thoughs are not the mindset of the army, just cus fj uses em doesnt mean sub wants a thing to do with em, hes more of a dont fix what aint broken guy so itll def be awhile before any led panels make their way into his flower room.

German VW's are made and assembled in Germany. The CC, Toureg, MKV-MKVI GTI's, Jetta GLI's.... I'm sure there are others. Production for engines/cars in the Mexico plant starts for the next generation, MKVII models.

Any car that the VIN starts with a "W" was made and assembled in Germany. North American Audi's are also made in Germany. I worked for VAG, so I had to be in the know. :D

All North American built vehicles have a VIN that starts with 1-5.

The toureg I believe. its the same frame and engine minus the turbos as the cayenne. The cc and jetta I have no clue. I never liked jettas. They are a girls car. Never got into them at all. I was never a fan of VW anyway . Except for old school subtley raced out bugs. That was in high School though. I don't really like Mercedes either. I do like Audi's and BMW's though. A lot of companies have assembly plants in the midwest or had. the taxes are less on parts than the whole car. I do know they still make and sell the original bug in Mexico

The Toureg, Q7, and Cayenne all share the same frame.

It's not the "jetta" though, it's the Jetta GLI only that's made in Germany.

Basically a different car.... Full Multi-link rear suspension and lots of other goodies, just like the GTI. The GLI is a Jetta like a GTI is a Golf.

I think Merc makes some of the sexiest cars around. The interiors of their flagship models are second to none, IMO. I just love Audi's though.... Always have, always will. The RS6 Avant is my dream (<$200,000) car... :D

I had buddies in high school that raced gti's and scirocco's and one friend who completely rebuilt a golf. All Spoon Sports and BFI, neuspeed suspension, recaro seats (dam comfortable). I was a honda / nissan guy back then. I had a 89 crx with exhaust, headers, intake, throttle body, jet chip. Then I had a 95 nissan 240sx se that I was slowly converting into a sylvia s15. Then was forced to sell it to pay for a lawyer.

I've always had a soft spot for Honda.... they just sound sexy. Rumor has it the new Civic Type R is a 2.0L Turbo, with a hair under 300hp! :D Bout time Honda pumped out a FI rocket!

Nissan though.... wowzas, I have a strong disdain for Nissan. I've always thought they looked like shit, no offense! Cheap materials, cheap build quality.... but then again, for some reason I like Chevy trucks; so I'm cool being the pot or the kettle, your choice. :D

Even the GTR looks cheap inside. It's plastics and hard materials, not a sexy looking car at all, IMO. Not for $120,000 anyways... lol It does work like no other though. Bang for buck, performance wise, it's hard if not impossible to beat.

I've always liked Subaru, although their engines are really un-refined, lousy on gas, loud, angry, raspy sounding buggers, they sure as hell work well! The new generation of Subaru's look amazing! The new WRX prototype looks like a spaceship lol
