i sent a letter to my congress and i am proudly supporting H.R. 5843 here is the letter my congress replyed to me

Thank you for contacting me about decriminalizing the possession of marijuana. I appreciate your feedback on this issue. I have long been an advocate for the legal use marijuana for medical purposes when prescribed by a doctor.

Chairman Barney Frank has introduced a bill that would eliminate most of the federal penalties for possession and personal use of marijuana. This bill, H.R. 5843, has been referred to the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the House Judiciary Committee. I will keep your thoughts in mind regarding the decriminalization of marijuana for recreational use and carefully consider actions that Congress can take to make our nation's drug laws both fair and effective.

im getting as many people as i can to do the same and its easily done inviting people over to smoke a bowl you should all do the same

I am committed to the War on Drugs and commend President Bush for his call to combat illegal drug use in our communities. Illegal drug use lowers the quality of life of the individual drug user and damages the wider community. It is for these reasons that I do not anticipate voting for legislation that legalizes the possession or use of marijuana.
