i'm a libra 10/5. i'm so glad you got one of us we're pretty great people- just not your usual..does her memory scare you, yet?
Agreed. I'm lucky for sure. Her memory however is revisionist and doesn't always align - dry sift indulgence may be a factor. She calls me a master debater. It's her intuition that I admire/envy/appreciate/enjoy. Gentle persistence to get her way. Feisty, confident and strong. Plus she tolerates my shenanigans. Yeah, I'm lucky, blessings counted daily. Life is good.

I was drawn to this thread because I thought there'd be food recipes.
Actually I was just about to mention the great Cornish hens I grilled/smoked yesterday ...... brined for 3 hours (water, kosher salt, brown sugar). Pat dry and covered with mayo, smoked paprika, onion salt, garlic, cumin, ground chilli pepper, set to side grill in pan and cooked on high (375ish) for 1 hr with maple and apple chips. Unfucking believable, with a side of wild and brown rice and a kale, cranberry, poppy seed salad.

Schuylaar's Family Upper Penninsula Pasties:

roll out pie crust and layer on half; sliced potato, sliced onion and ground beef on top. salt and pepper. fold over the other half (it will look like a calzone) crimp as desired. egg yolk wash. pierce to vent. bake 350 for about 45 minutes. wrap warm pastie in newspaper and pack in your husbands lunch tin. it's a hard day working the mines and this was a huge staple through NJ, PA Michigan 'mining belt' 1920s-50s.

I wonder if I can get Lucky's Market to bring these in hmmmmmmmmmmm so I can sell them local..guess I can make one and let them try it..they support local vendors.

i know it's stuck on sand (and heavy) but engineering-wise if you get a few Tugs at bow and stern to make the shift (pull opposite direction) that should work. they've actually could've unloaded enough of it by now by taking containers off..they don't need to take all 18k off wonder what the holdup is and what's in that many containers and is that allowed?

The equipment to do that doesn't exist in Egypt. It would have to be a ship with a 100 meter crane or some land based gantry. That is the worst case scenario for world commerce.

This is what happens when the British & French had to turn over control of running the canal to a third world government.

Competence you say? God damn, Google is your friend. Five minutes of research shows that since the 80s, there have been three blockages by ship. One for human error, one from high winds and low vis from sandstorm (sound familiar) and one from mechanical failure.
But you blaming these events on the competence of "a third world government" is the very definition of racist.

List them and their durations.

Since the 1975 war, there has never been a major stoppage of the Suez canal until 2004 and since then.

No. Do your own fucking research, troll
That would be you.

You talked shit you say you researched when clearly you did not or you would already have posted it.

You got all butthurt probably because you have some love affair with Egypt, whose government has been overthrown and in chaos for years.

Simple fact is, the French and British would never have allowed a ship that size to navigate the canal with high winds forecasted without a tug escort. Egypt doesn't care. They love copping the fees but not providing a safe service.

And when that big assed ship couldn't handle it and ran aground, what did Egypt do?

Sent two guys with a damn backhoe barely capable of building a swimming pool out there. And that was ALL they did for nearly three days.

So, yeah. It's fucking incompetence.
