I was alluding to buck's statements, possibly a few others.I don't necessarily feel anyway about it. Call it callousness towards people who don't give a fuck about what's right. Besides, it's mostly gallows humor.

7.62×39 is great for deer. Why wouldn't it be? I've killed several big deer with one.Actually, 5.56/.223 is a good varmint cartridge, and the AR-15 rifle is a decent choice for hunting antelope, javalina, coyotes, and other small game. (By definition, it is *not* an assault rifle.)
I've even seen them used on alligator. Not so good for deer, but it is legal to hunt with them in most states (usually with a magazine restriction).
7.62X39 is a different story. Not good for varmints & barely adequate for deer.
Works great on humans...
Yep, it's ballistically similar to the .30-.30 which has arguably taken more deer than any other round7.62×39 is great for deer. Why wouldn't it be? I've killed several big deer with one.
The 7.62x54 is better but 7.62x39 will kill deer all day.
I'd take a 30-30 all day over 7.62X39. More velocity & heavier bullet.Yep, it's ballistically similar to the .30-.30 which has arguably taken more deer than any other round
I would too, have 2 of them. It's inherently more accurate out of the box. Just saying the 7.62x39 is adequate and similar.I'd take a 30-30 all day over 7.62X39. More velocity & heavier bullet.
It is an inferior hunting cartridge. There are better options, regardless of the game being hunted.7.62×39 is great for deer. Why wouldn't it be? I've killed several big deer with one.

Barely adequate...I would too, have 2 of them. It's inherently more accurate out of the box. Just saying the 7.62x39 is adequate and similar.
Ever shoot rifles chambered for long handgun cartridges like .357 & .44 mag? It's a hoot -- especially if you load them yourself because you can maximize velocity for the barrel length. Best powder was H110, but like most ball powders, dirty as fuck. Second best was good ol blue dot. Very clean but difficult to meter if you're picky...Handguns, I like chambered in .45 ACP, .45 Long, .357 SIG, .357 Mag, and I like the flat trajectory and high velocity of the 5.7x28mm. That thing is like putting a rifle in one hand. Throws fire, though, with the exhaust gas.
Nice conversation you had in your head there. Talk to yourself in your head about gun control, because reasonable folks understand, guns are for this...Shots ring out,
Ss: are you ok, sir ?
Scalise: no, I've been shot.
Ss: calm down, you're going to be alright, stay down.
Shots continue,
Scalise: how many bullets does this guy have, who the fuck sold him enough bullets to start a small war?
Calm down sir, this happens every day.
Scalise: fuck you, you calm the fuck down. How did this happen?
Ss: sir, anyone can buy an ar15 now
Scalise: well who's stupid fucking idea was that. They should do a fucking back ground check before they sell just anyone an assault rifle.
So now can we have a conversation about gun control?
Good stuff, for sure.Ever shoot rifles chambered for long handgun cartridges like .357 & .44 mag? In the midwest, the old Ruger .44 mag semi-auto rifle was a favorite among brush hunters. Load it up with 240s & it will punch through the twigs.
ever shoot vice versa? a buddy has a AMT automag 3 semi auto chambered in 30 carbine. that is a fun one to shoot too.Ever shoot rifles chambered for long handgun cartridges like .357 & .44 mag?
Nope, I never shot a pistol chambered for 30 carbine -- but I bet it was loud as fuck!ever shoot vice versa? a buddy has a AMT automag 3 semi auto chambered in 30 carbine. that is a fun one to shoot too.
almost as loud as a Judas Priest concert. lol. i'll be deaf sooner than later.Nope, I never shot a pistol chambered for 30 carbine -- but I bet it was loud as fuck!
That is the exact one I fired that I said looked like Stroker's.A Thompson Contender in 30-06, that wakes you up
Scalise is a piece of shit, but I wish there hadn't been a shooter. Instead, I wish he would have had an aneurysm and dropped dead on the field. When I joke about dead republicants (the best kind), I'm just blowing off steam. Despite wishing it hadn't happened, I have absolutely no sympathy for Scalise.Even if the guy is a piece of shit, he doesn't deserve to get shot. And you are happy about that, why?
So many nothing burgers, one after another after another. They keep being proven to be big something burgers but EMAILS THO!Oh, look at this:

Deputy attorney general acknowledges he may need to recuse himself from Russia probe: sources
"I understand there are serious allegations that have been raised," Rosenstein told a Senate panel earlier this week. "I recognize the importance of these questions, and I think that Director Mueller ought to review that and make a determination of whether or not he believes it is within the scope of his investigation."
Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, asked Rosenstein specifically whether he might have a conflict of interest if he becomes a witness in the investigation.
"I'm not going to answer hypothetical questions," Rosenstein said. "[But] I am working with career professionals who know these rules and are responsible for enforcing these rules, and I can assure you that we're going to do the right thing, and we're going to defend the integrity of that investigation."
