Call me paranoid,but leaving grow medium outside for indoor growing is a terrible idea.at least get it into a trash can with lid,rubbermaid tote with lid,etc.you can never be too vigilant imo.

After growing outdoors for awhile,I moved indoors a little over a year ago to avoid bad weather and pests. one of my first runs I had fungus gnats.came from a bale of promix from the garden center (stored outside)I presume.now I buy my promix months out from when I need it,store it in a trash can and either leave it in the barn or tucked inside somewhere.so far,so good.do whatever you want,but leaving it laying around outside is an open invitation for problems imo.
