When are we gonna quit this stupid tradition? It just causes confusion and an extra thing to fuck up twice a year. I personally don't care for it, I'd rather have my sunshine later than earlier, anyway. What are your thoughts on this useless practice???

It actually takes an act of congress to get rid of it. Cali people voted to get rid of it, but it didn't pass the state senate by the 2/3 needed, even if passed congress would have to approve it.

Anyone remember 1974 or so when they kept it during winter? I remember getting up for school while it was pitch dark. Some nice fiery dawn displays on the car ride to school.

That's the biggest argument for it, otherwise little kids would be standing in the dark in the morning waiting for the bus.

I'd rather have it stay light later myself!! Start school an hour later, problem solved!
