I had the same problem with ffof and will not touch it anymore. Overpriced crap that is not even inoculated.

I'm about done with soil all together myself, like the hydro world better... cleaner, more control, no soil for bugs to come in, ect... we'll see if I can taste any diff being pure organic or not, I'm guessing there will be no difference.

Here's a question for anyone following... I run my exhaust fans 24/7 to keep the humidity from spiking in my spaces. Do you guys run your box/oscillating fans on 24/7 also? I was having them match the light cycle in the winter (dry) for fear of windburn, but with humidity up to 60% I think it would be better to leave them on 24/7 to prevent mold. So what do u guys do?

Well man, for me personally. I have everything running on a timer. So when lights go off, so do my fans. My hood venting 450 CFM fan, and them my 2, 50 CFM fans that just keep fresh air circulating around the room. My humidity never get's up to the 60% area though... Short answer, everything runs off my 1 timer, a 400w HPS, a 175w HPS, and 3 fans..... Nothing's on during bedtime.

Pretty ass mo-feckin girls BTW!

that seems to work for you but in alot of situations you really need the air movement during the night cycle. exhaust is the most ideal i think but right now im running a sealed room for co2 and there is no exhaust so at night i use an extremely powerful intake and the only exhaust is what falls through the cracks through positive pressure.

stagnant night time air leaves the plants vulnerable to PM so I keep all my fans running at all times. plants dont mind it a bit and they love the fresh air intake

i run my fans 24/7 to keep humidity down during flower and during veg i only run the exhaust with the lights

Thanks for all the input guys, I'm going to run my circulation fans 24/7 now that humidity is up to prevent grey mold. Trying to maintain 50% or less but it's not easy without racking up 300 electric bills rofl.

Just got read through this journal and browsed the last. Great work man, really. Good work with the bigs too. I do the same thing, full out war, when I find any bugs. That is the same t-5 8 bulb I use for veg, they work great. I would love to get my hands on some of the PE man. Looks amazing. I am gld you caught that ph problem when you did. What ph do you usually run in your hydro res? Scribed + rep

thanks man, just need to get some co2 rocking now haha. I usually run a ph of about 5.8, but it's just an estimation, I use the drops... mostly yellow slightly orange if u use gh test solution. cheap and reliable gotta love it... I've learned my system pretty well now, I hardly even have to ph or measure ppms much to be honest. thanks for dropping in.

pics look great someguy!!! keep up the good growing :)
For sure, bigger and better always.
guy whats ure plans for co2???
Thinking the bottle route because gens make too much heat for my liking and they are less reliable I think. Going to wait until I have a solid k to drop on it though because I want good stuff. I want that sentinel chhc-1 which is amazing but 500... I know you can do it cheaper using the kits, but I'll just wait and do it right. Maybe when I move into my new place I can get the walkin going with co2, but lots of things to figure out for that still.

Well damn, I'm going through journals like hotcakes... I think I'm just going to make a perpetual journal when I move in 1 mo but for now here's my new ladies. 3x LA Woman & 9x Pineapple Express... one of each will become new mothers after I move and the remaining 10 will be flowered out. Another 100% success rate cloning with roots in 9-10 days so I'm thrilled with that. Finally got this cloning thing down to a science...Changed up the grow cubes to the grow chunks which are 3/4" instead of 1/4" so they don't smash as much, going to give these a spin. Thinking about getting another 2x4 hydro tray and building a new stand for when I move to hold both for some 4x4 action. If that won't fit I may consider getting one or two 3x3s... Unfortunately, I don't know my space dimensions because the assholes currently renting had it locked up. Couldn't press the 'I want to measure the walk in closet' issue too much with the leasing agent  anyways, I'm rambling, here's some pics of the new ladies.

You think I could make the switch???? once again beautiful ladies!!

I must say every time I look at your log I'm green with envy!
After checking these past few rounds I'm thinking of my forgetting on my planned nutes and grabbing what you got!
Hoping to have a perpetual going quite like yourself.

How often you harvest?

Yeah I think u could get away with it. 72-76 is really low, I run mine at 82 no problem, 85 is where i get concerned and 90 is unacceptable.

Harvest every 55-60 days depending on when the girls tell me they are ready. Now that I know all my nutes it seems really easy, but at first I was a little lost... if u do use ionic, like .7ec for clones, 1.3 for early veg maxing around 1.7-1.8 for full veg... I never get there though cuz I'm already into the bloom. In bloom I like to run around 2.0 ec if I can, sometimes a touch more sometimes a touch less. Seems to work out alright for me. Oh and my base tap water is 0.4EC so these are including that too.

Tonight probably :P
I think the Milky-Way should be done today.. that other one which was harvested at 80/20 amber has alot of punch, so the rest are bound to be better if not as good..

Cool man....thanks for replying...I was hoping for some positive outlook......82F????? I like to keep mine in the seventies...battled heat in Florida with bloom temps around 85F+ and I was feeling that was unacceptable....since moving to the midwest with my grow in a basement now temps have been easy to manage. I just think with adding a 1K I might be adding co2 to help combat the heat.....U using co2 yet?? Thanks again.

Well the temps I reported are my canopy temps, or the hottest part of the plants right under the light. I'm sure down in the plants it's cooler like 78. I'm pretty sure the optimal air temp for cannabis is about 78 degrees. I've learned that humidity is more of a problem than the heat, because they grow great under the 82-85 heat but if the humidity goes much over 50% your at risk for bud rot. If you look at the last pics of my round 3, right in the center you can see a cola that was attacked by grey mold. Only lost maybe a quarter but trying to make sure that doesn't happen again.
