Stang, what kind of light do you have those under ? Looks like they’re stretching like crazy, no branching either. Do you believe this all stems from your iron and mineral issues ?

@MustangStudFarm why haven't you put the pine mulch back in? If it was halpping cut out the p.
@Growitpondifarm so cutting the mix didnt help? Or help a lil bit but still havin the same issue?
Also has any one tested their soil after a run or 2 as i understand it it is supposed to get better over time. Not saying it does though.

I cut my mix A bit with more aeration and a seed starting mix(peat, dolomite lime and EWC). I clearly didn’t cut it enough of whatever but I ran into my issues WITH cutting my mix. I musta had some damn rich compost. My veggies are loving the compost, cannabis not so much.
Not really, it's usually only applied once, if needed, till the greensand and azomite begin to release. With those 2 they are never applied more than every 3 years or so, if then.

So may i ask, if its only being applied once every three years if the toxicity is still a problem in that time what would you suggest as a remedy?
Well, I had to google the whole issue since I was not aware of it.
The upshot is, I'm not going to do anything different or discontinue the occasional use.
From my reading of both sides of the issue it seems to be a non issue AFA toxicity due to the form of the arsenic and lead, both being in a very stable ore state.
But besides the back and forth, the most telling for me is, in the 60 or so years it's been on the market there has never been a lawsuit brought about the arsenic or lead levels in Ironite. Not a single one. If there had been the slighest issue, someone would have brought suit long ago.
Use it or not as you see fit, that's your call. For myself, it's not a concern.

I added it to my next batch, this stuff takes a while. I am not completely sure if my problem was high P or low micros, basically the same problem though...

The pine bark fines? Lowes and HomeDepot sell them but it is regional and I don't live within that region. I went to a landscaping store that sells a bag mix that is 60% composted pine bark. I buy the 902 mix for $20/2.8cuft. This is the same company that makes Promix and Sunshine but this is cheaper.

I am being kind by posting my mistakes on here, even though dicks still make comments. Should I keep my mistakes to myself? How many times have you posted pics of butchered plants for the sake of others, I was hoping that I would help someone avoid my mistake. Plus, I have a soil test to go with the bad pics. Maybe I will just keep it to myself next time! I hardly post on here because I seriously don't like 95% of people on here!!!

Yo mustang no hard feelings in this thread man! We are all constantly learning, anyone who claims they are not sill learning is an idiot. I appreciate you sharing your issues here as I am having the same problems and trying to power through, you’re experience has been helpful. It is just a gardenafter all, don’t get too wrapped up in it. There will always be another one that you can improve on and that is the beauty of it.
We all share the same passion for gardening and growing this plant. Anyone who is on here to poke fun or put people down isn’t worth your time or anyone else’s for that matter.
My plants are looking just ok. Here is the latest pic, I am topdressing some EWC and kelp meal tomorrow and flipping the lights. Will try my best to make these work out but have to have them wrapped up by mid october so have no more time to try and get things perfect. I am Already excited for the next round as I continue to learn and improve things.
I ordered some Biomin 153 from the KIs Organics site to try and have a remedy for the micro defiency that I can apply throughout flower.

Hillbill, I have also been reading a bit about k toxcity. I think my super high levels of K are hurting my mineral uptake as well. Kind of a perfect storm, all the high macros I have in my soil effect mineral availability. Definitely have to be careful with manure compost usage. I will be going with the lower % of compost in my next mix for sure. I think with the dry amendments and super high quality composts most of us are using there is no need to make it 30% of the mix. If you talk to a good veggie Gardner they think you’re crazy using the amounts of vermicompost for example that people in the cannabis world are using. I think 20% is a good number to shoot for. I have some nice hardwood leaf mold in my property that I will definitely be adding to my next mix as a nice humus source that is low in NPK.

I have been reading along. Yeah, some people come off like shitheads.
I was reading up on EM and bokashi. I think that you may want to look into adding this to your soil. I think it may help out with soil toxicity through soil "remediation" spoken about in the majority of sources.

The plants are loving the mulching I did. I mixed EWC, leaf mold, kelp meal and some blood meal. I put some blood meal in the mulch to see if maybe the yellowing had to do with low nitrogen levels and everyone seemed to love it. I feel like I finally have them on track and just in time, 2 nights into 12/12.

Don Tesla is the guy that you need to follow. I think that he has move to using ferments with fruit and oatmeal and it def looked interesting!!!
Part of my problem is that during my time in the army, I got hit with 3x blasts and now I have TBI. It feels like I have early Alzheimers(37yrs old) and I def don't feel as smart as I used to! So, I am kind of sensitive when people talk down to me...
You were talking about leaf mold. If you have a source of it, you can skip the rock dusts! That is exactly what I am doing right now. Before, I was using rabbit bedding for my compost. Well, I could just show you the test results. Rabbit manure compost that has been aged for 2x years. Oak leaves, grass clippings, rock dust, and rabbit bedding. My rabbit bedding is usually straw and alfalfa hay 50/50.
It looks like low Mn has a problem for me for a long time!!!

Also, this test will show what is available. So, the high P could be locking out the trace minerals. From the way that I read this test, my P is 15x too high. The K being 3x too high is about right because I would only use about 20-30% compost.
