WOW this is a very impressive set up you have put together SOG. I truly admire the amount of dedication you are putting into this. From personal experience I LOVE Tiatanic (kush x Fucking Incredible) if you can get a hold of this i would. Great potency and yield. Very consistant growing plant to very good for a SOG technique.

im gonna be watching this vividly.

Keep up the great work!!

Boo...California. How many more things can they find to tax. (Glad I don't live there anymore)
hey i live in cali. :finger: j/k and i am allso becoming addicted to watching your setup. killer work brother good job with the cuts on the posts.
i think it is a killer idea to tax the sales of buds. our state is broke and my wife works for a child social dept that is seeing layoffs due to lack of gov funds. we need the state money and when they start getting it from the dispenceries that will make MMJ more popular and apealing to states like texas. i personaly am medical but dont buy from dispencery/clubs i perfer to suport local growers and not pay taxes but once in a while i do go to the dispencery/club for some novilties like MJ sodas and shit like that. sorry for the thread jack and subject change but you brought it up.

SOG, i'd keep those cuttings form the fence posts, maybe you could use them in the cloner/vegger. dunno.

Sorry, Nivekragah. My remarks weren't meant as an insult to you or anyone else that still lives in California. It's what your state government has done to Cali that I hate. To me, California is the most beautiful state in the Union with the most incredibly diverse scenery to be found anywhere. And I still have lots of friends who live there including all of you guys on these great threads.

Okay...enough with the silly political hyjacking of you thread, Sog. Sorry:cry:

you guys out in california think Nevada will ever open up to the idea of dispensaries? out here there is nothing for medical patients just the right to grow 3 plants, so unless you are a good grower you still pretty much SOL...iv been told by people "were just 5 years behind the coast on the MMJ movement" but im not to sure about that.

There's action in many states, but not NV.

no brother no need to apolagize your are totaly right cali gov sucks ass and arnold is an idiot.

back to the real point. hey sog have you cloned yet? i got 2 batches of clones (34) going in my cloners for 5 days and no roots yets everything looks healthy but no root nubs. i followed SB's cloning process where i just cut the clones from the lower branches and trimed the extra sun leaves and put them in the cloner. do you think if i try the tricks like the gell and skinning the lower stim or cutting the tips of the leaves i would get roots faster?

i live in central cal. i know a guy in ventura that is a hydro store owner he sales new stuff under the table. he charges $40 for a brand new 1000wat eye hortilux bulb and $75 for 6inch inline fans. all new with waranty still in box. he allso sells used equipment for cheap. but he has the ART-DNE cycle timer for $60. he allso has killer deals on evirmental controle boxes. i know your spending a fortune so if you can save a few bucks here and there it helps

here are the Blueprint of my SB inspired NFT system

thank you just saved to my desktop for my next build. awsome i like the sprayer disconect will make it easy for cleaning. i feel like kicking myself for not following your plans for the first flowering unit i have built. the growth rate of the areo NFT is insane bro. i just put my veg inthere to flower 5 days ago and the root system has allready grown out of the posts and into the res. the fan leaves are huge like you would see on an outdoor plant. it is unreal the growth you see in this system.

Thanks nivekragah,
rooting can take up to a week give or take depend on the environment
as for the cheep part sounds very tempting, i known for a fact the market is full of cheap eye imitations, this will coast you less initially but will hurt you in the long run with bad results, the bulbs are cheep and don't deliver the spectrum you need, be careful bro
i spend my money with one reputable shop
and was able to get amazing deals, for example
i bought the six pack eye hortilux 1000w for lil under $400, do the match!

i'm confused on climate controls maybe you guys can help me. I understand if you are in a warm climate and want to use Co2, you inevitably have to use a/c (dirthawker found this out i believe).

1) it seems most people are opting for the portable a/c's rather than window units, do the window units leak Co2?

2) how does a heat pump work differently than a normal a/c?

3) what's a swamp cooler?

4)scrubbing the air is important. you don't want dank smell to accumulate, and in the event of mold spore generation, you want to exhume them from the room. One can either choose to bring air from the outside of the dwelling or the inside. OUTSIDE air is susceptible to whatever weather conditions are, (ex. it could have rained that day, thus you would be bringing in very humid air, or it could be very hot or cold that day, temperature variablility could possibly harm plants). bringing air from the INSIDE means that you would be sucking air that you have already a/c'd, thus you have to run your central a/c more often (more $). what i don't understand is what to do when the outside air is 95+ degrees outside, and 82+ degrees inside.

5) are people setting climate controllers to turn on the exhaust fans at 80 degrees, and their a/c's to come on at 85 degrees? wouldn't the fans just exhaust all the a/c and co2?

Thanks guys, i think my head is swirling with facts and i'm having a hard time putting it all together.

1) it seems most people are opting for the portable a/c's rather than window units, do the window units leak Co2?

> many folks here don't always have a window available
a window unit requires a professional installer in most cases
portable unit plugs into a regular 110v socket,
and is easy to place in specific locations

2) how does a heat pump work differently than a normal a/c?

> Heat Pump runs on Natural Gas, AC runs on electricity

3) what's a swamp cooler?

> i think you mean a Chiller

4)i don't understand is what to do when the outside air is 95+ degrees outside, and 82+ degrees inside.

> this is the reason i went with the "smart" environmental controllers
you will
still need to recycle and cool it down, in different cycles though

5) wouldn't the fans just exhaust all the a/c and co2?

> Yes they will

i personaly cant afford a climate controle box. i use a timer on the AC that runs 2hrs on and 2 hrs off and i run a timer on the co2 that runs alternating with the AC 2hrs on and 2 off. that way the AC is not exhausting the CO2. i run a portable AC because i live in a comunity and dont want to vent the smell into the yard. so i vent the AC into the attic and from the attic it goes through a filter into my heating system to warm my house during the winter and during summer i run it to the attic vent. i heard that you can keep your temps higher with CO2 but im budding a lavender kush so i keep my temps at 78deg to bring out some purple. though i wish i could afford SOG's set up. a fully self regulated system is a wet dram of mine.
