You're insane if you think a refugee camp in the country that people are trying to flee from is a good idea. The very definition of a refugee is someone who is fleeing their country.

This is why refugee camps are set up outside of countries and why - once more - the very definition is someone who is fleeing their home. I would be able to keep them there, and anyone trying to hurt them out. Your suggestion only leave the bad guys there. Why that, so they can never return ?

There is no need to flee if you can stop what they flee from.

I saw the pic. of Damascus you put up, I figured I`d give the reader the truth rather than your long distance photo.

When you get closer to it, you can clearly see that they don`t have the once crowded concrete homes stacked upon stacked like they used to.

When you look close at Jobar, near the stadium in Damascus and the Government center,.....you see the real condition, don`t listen to pnwmystery`s depiction of a fine city,......


......Jobar today, the whole city looks like this up close.

Thank you for being the voice of "us all". So sorry that you cannot wrap your head around the difference between an ideology (Islam, Christianity, etc.) and a race. As a Christian I try to live and let live, see the good in others, treat others as I would like to be treated. You may not be aware that Muslims are not interested in debating with atheists. Atheists must covert to Islam or be killed, just like all non Muslims. I don't hate anyone. Racist? I voted for Obama. From the time I was a young boy I wanted to be part of the world where we could have a black president and truly put racism in our past. Didn't pan out like I had envisioned. I shouLd have done more research on his religious beliefs, etc.
My comment about Kenya as the country where he was born...non racist point was that potus are required to be natural born u.s. Citizens. If it wasn't Kenya, but Canada where he was born would I be less of a racist to point it out?
In fairness, since posting about seeing a video of Obama admitting born in Kenya, I have received enough posts claiming those videos are fake, dubbed voice overs that I am no longer as convinced as to the tapes. Thank you to the people that responded with helpful information on that matter.
I am an old man. I have already enjoyed a life with The freedoms offered by our society.
I live way out in the boonies...we are going to be okay. My concern is more for my fellow U.S. citizens. Gays have fought so hard for their recent victories. I don't want to see them go back to being stoned to death. Make me a racist? Women have fought so hard for their freedoms. I don't want to see them getting raped for being pretty. Make me a racist? The only group in America likely to benefit from sharia law would be pedophiles and rapists. I just don't like either group so call me another name if it makes you feel big.

That's a logical argument. What some may argue is illogical, is flying them across the planet and turning them loose within our borders. Shouldn't the "camps" be set up in neighboring countries so these "refugees" can IMMEDIATELY return home as soon as the war has concluded? It's not like they're going to be given permanent residency...or are they?
