Seedlings are skinny and look like they're dying :( what should I do?

I ordered indica autos from attitude seedbank and everything went well until a few days ago... My seedlings look like they're stretching for light and are falling over. They're getting sunlight and I just added a florescent bulb about 8 inches above them. I'm using flossers to prop them up which may or may not help. They are getting the right amount of water (I think). This is my first grow. Any suggestions?

Get them closer to the light and get some airflow going in the area. They are really stretching for light. Autos prefer 20 hours of light a day.

I agree, looks like they're not getting the light they need, what kind of florescent light?, it should be a T5 lamp for the proper spectrum, what kind of soil is that? it may be too hot for seedlings.

It's a regular old fluorescent from Home Depot, which is probably not the best. Is it worth transferring them to solo cups? or just keep em like that and see if they recover? or transfer them outside?

You're better of looking in to T5's, they're not too expensive and work great, I use them and have decent grows, make sure you get 6500K lamps for grow and 2700K or 3000K lamps, you can find then on line, of course you could go Metal halite and HP sodium, it's your choice, keep them 'till bigger before transplanting.

When you raise seedlings in sunlight you have to put them in sunlight not on the window sill its never enough and you end up with stringy plants falling over. Poor lighting and the soil isnt great either.
