Seedling yellowing leaves and some are dying off. What do you guys think? (with imeages)

Soo for masterblend nutes that i use recept says 0.265g per liter and i need to do 0.3 soo yea a little bit more but not much. I would stick with recommended dose and then at first sign of deficit raise.but usually the mix you make doesnt lose power for 1week at least and by then you put more fresh nutes....

Everyone reccomended me to use less and that's what I'm doing now since EC 1.6 for a small plant is too much. That was maybe the problem. Not too little. I think it depends on how much solution you have in the first place how fast it will be used up.

Now it's about 36 hours later. The EC was 1.18 so the EC has risen about 0.18 and PH was about 6.06 (one day I will ditch the cheap meters and buy a better reliable meter).

I've changed the nutrient solution and am doing everything you said. EC is 0.8 now with 0.6EC base nutrients and 0.2EC Cal/Mag. So both are at 50% of recommended schedule. Let's see how it's going now but I'm already happy that it didn't raise that much!

Plants are growing. Deficiencies seem to not grow bigger so it looks like the it's ok now. But the first seedling is the slowest and looks stunt compared to the others! The others have noticable new growth in between a week but the first seedling is very slow compared to the others. Maybe she takes some time to recover and start to speed up again.

Res stats:
EC 0.8 (0.6EC base nutrients 0.2EC Cal/Mag)
PH 5.5
 
Ok first of all merry christmas guys! Hope y'all having a nice day today!

I don't know what's going on. Now 14 hours later after cutting the Cal/Mag back to 50% recommended schedule from EC 0.4 to EC 0.2 the plants got worse and now all seedlings show symptoms even the only one seedling which hasn't had any symptoms yet. All new growth is very light green and yellow! Even on the plant which showed no symptoms yet the new growth is light green and yellow and also the node before the new growth is starting to get yellow which it wasn't 14 hours ago! So I think it's getting worse again and the only thing I've changed this time was cutting the Cal/Mag back to EC 0.2

Also EC has risen by 0.07 EC and was 0.87 EC now.

So I'm panicking a little...

I've upped the Cal/Mag back to EC 0.4 as recommended on the bottle! I hope that will help and the deficiencies stop to move on again!
 
If you keep changing things every 14 hrs you're never gonna figure it out.. Make a plan and stick to it.. Only change one thing at a time and be patient..
It takes time for plants to respond, good or bad..

It's easier said than done as a noobie who thinks his plants won't survive... I will stick to what I have now and wait.

We read about people who water their plants with nutrient solution to run-off then flush within a day or two because of yellowing tips or something.

Potentially the plant will be water logged for a week or longer with those actions. So after the week yellowing from one issue may 'go away' but then yellowing issues begin for a different issue.

Grab a carnival horse and ride the merry go round.

It's hydro not soil. Anyway I'll monitor it and will see how it goes the next days...
 
as long as your EC is raising it means your plant is drinking more than she is eating. you are putting too much nutes in the water. find the amount where you will tell us okej 24h later and ec has dropped even lower. and why did you let your plant strech soo much looks really tall with 2 leafs

Yes I'm monitoring EC right now and lower it a little when it's higher. Now it doesn't raise as much anymore but still 0.08 EC in 24 hours... so I can lower it just a little bit to find the sweet spot.

Normally I wouldn't let them strech so much but this time when they were some days old I've tried a different lamp but they strechted so much in 24 hours so I immediately stopped using the lamp and switched back to my old lamp. If I could I would make them shorter again but this is not possible so I have to live with it this time (now the internodal length is much shorter because they are back on their original better light). Normally I have very short very small internodal length but that one lamp I've got new and tried was shit and they strechted a lot in 24 hours.

In the beginning it was way too high but the guys told me to cut back immediately what I did. Now its just slightly too high it isn't raising a lot by now but still a little bit so I'll lower it just a little until it's not rising anymore. But I think they are close to their sweet spot. EC was 0.08 higher after 24 hours so I'm very close to the sweet spot i think.

Automation maybe one day when I can afford it. But for now I'm happt to learn how thinks work.

No I can't because they already have roots all over the place so I can't take them out of the net pot without damaging the roots. I just don't stress about it... will top/bend/scrog them later so its just 2 inches to tall or something like that so not that big of a deal. Stretching stopped and internodal length is short so it's ok. It's the first internodes that where streching so much because of the bad light but I don't have the light anymore. It's all good now

What scared me more was when they became unhealthy... But I think it looks good now... I'll check the new growth for deficiencies and if the older get worse but it looks good right now... In some days if there is no new deficient growth I think they made it...

But the one seedling that was damaged first grows very very slow... and she looks like a dwarf in comparison to the others! Hopefully she will recover...

Lol that's true! Right now I'm lowering and lowering... topping off with water to lower the EC... can't wait for it to stop raising...
