Second try, another AC Infinity 4x4 tent

Interesting, i sent photos & detailed imformation to AC & they still required a photo of the receipt & the plate # from me. It definitely wasn't "no questions asked".

As for the "pinholes" yea I'm not worried about that. However the zippers don't seal properly & that's all over the tent. Also we're talking inches of this, not a milimeter, not a single set of teeth. See attached photos. Anyways, hope the new one has better QC, looks like it shipped today.
That amount of light isn't going to affect your plants whatsoever.

well.... could be the person I talked to I guess. In my case they could probably tell the zipper was going to fail in short order so they just replaced it. Maybe they had a bunch like that so they just sent a new one. I tried waxing the teeth etc but you could just tell in a year or less the zipper was gonna fail.

I've actually had pretty good luck with them. I get my fans and filters direct, tent as well when I got it. Even the GGT has a couple pin holes somewhere on the tent at the stitching. If I stand inside any of my tents withe door closed I can't see any pinholes of light. The light's much brighter inside the tent than outside so in a darker room you can easily see the holes. On the inside with room light I can't visibly detect any hole.

That amount of light coming through probably would show up on the light meter\app, if the pics were taken on the same device..

Once you start running neg pressure in the tent it wears on the seams anyways. Overtime they all leak a wee bit of light. Nothing to worry about imo

Here's a pic in dead darkness of my $50 90x50 from eBay with 320w worth or quantum Board full pelt inside . One single pinhole on the zipper half way up the front door. This tent is a year and a half in age.

The whole tent is in field of view including the whole front zipper portion, nothing taped or modified . All in all terrible quality from AC infinity.

You can see the single pinhole here as well for reference. Photo taken from same location.

Not a single light leak from the zipper or flaps (The back flap is opened in this pic though as you can see). They should get their shit together.

If you get picky they all do the only difference in quality tents are the zippers or with the cloud lab the panel for controller. Gorilla its taller, wont change the bud grown within. Tents like most other things are made in factories by people who dont want to be there and could care less about quality. They aren't ac Infinity their Joe and Margaret. Only time I get pissed is poor customer service.

I find fascinating the entire light leak discussion when outdoors, the moon is there 1/2 the time (not to mention all the artificial lighting taking place).

Hey everyone, hope you had a good weekend. To recap,4x4ft AC Infinity #1 (amazon) was returned, HUUUGE tear in a seam.

Today i bought a second AC Infinity (#2) from grow shop 4x4ft, no giant tears this time. So i forged ahead & set up everything, including light.

Turned off all my lights & this bad boy is full of pinholes along the zipper & seams, all of the velcro vent ports leak & what i would call a small 'gash' on one side, about 2/3rd inch long that leaks light.

Do i need to worry about this? Am i destined to grow autos or whats up :wall:
I have a AC Infinity 5x5 less than a year old worst zippers in the industry.

I just bought their 2x4. Should be here Friday but kind of regretting it now. My 2x4 CoolGrows tent has some pinholes but not many. Zipper has been fine.

No worries, if when you get it, you notice flaws, send it back & order a replacement. If thats no good, refund & order another companies tent. Keep repeating till you get a good one. Honestly its a crap-shoot from what I've seen. The $80 tents often have fewer complaints than the $180 tents. Crazy right? Gorilla seems to have the LEAST complaints.

My tent is still doing good Zippers are fine, no holes, as far as the $80 tents not having complaints, it might be due to the "It was only 80 and I knew it wasn't great quality" thought process.
