UPDATE
A lot has changed since I started this thread. I made many changes and I guess now it's the time to send an update.

Love fluke , used their networking/ethernet testing tools for years. But... I have to say I would not spend $200 USD to get a digital multimeter. Fluke makes great quality equipment, cant argue with that, but fluke has always been overpriced imo. Sort of like buying a lambo to drop the kids off a soccer. I still to this day use my $30 Micronta from Radio shack bought in 1994 and it does everything that Fluke does. I have dropped it down a flight of concrete stairs (came with a large rubber protective shell which in retrospect is awesome), spilled pop and coffee on it, friggin thing is indestructible. At the time a Fluke prolly would of cost me $600 or more.

Only "2 x Mean Well HLG-320H-48A" missing. Frame is already built, just need a few fixes and its good to go. Connected my first driver last night and it is awesome! Only one driver and it almost made me blind
I'm still doing some tests, I will send more pictures with the wiring later. I still don't know which Vo should I set my driver. I made another thread about this topic in this forum.

LM561c below 60mA is incredible efficient.
Plan something similar but only with 320w for a 10sft.tent!

Those are some nice strips, price is a bit high but better than the last two LEDs we looked at.
My trays are 2 x 4 so I would need only 6 of the double LED strip units to outperform the lumen output of a 1000W sodium /square foot and probably running circles around it in PAR. all this while pushing 168lm/w at full power on a 300W driver. pretty much dollar to cover the same area with quantums at the same wattage but with better spread and no need for the stupid aluminium plates.
Wish I could fast forward 3 months to see how all these light do in the real world.
You would need 7 strips and 350W to do the same in a 10' square.

How hot do the heatsinks you made run?
Like if you can touch them, for how long can you keep your thumb on it?
I am trying to calculate how hot the 4 foot 24b boards would get if I add a 3C/W heatsink. I think I smoked too much, cause my calculations all end up with the thing being hotter than without the heatsink on. Can't be right.

They arent really heatsinks just aluminium U profiles. Dimensions are length:140cm x width:4.5cm x height:2cm.
I haven't noticed any heat but I only ran them for 5-10minutes. I will post more info this weekend as I will try to finish the build and mount the light in my grow tent.
