Make sure that if you're fishing near anything close to Lake Huron that you check DNR & DEQ for mercury toxicity levels - near Port Huron, and last I remember.. mercury was so high that you could only have 2 total fish per month as a 'safe' level.. but this was more than a few months ago, it may have changed.

Put in Bay is insane women everywhere and not always clothed. Kelly's Island, South Bass, Middle Bass and a few more Islands really beautiful. I fish Kelly's and the other Islands with my buddy. Walleye and smallmouth fishing is some of the best in the world.

You need to watch the levels in Lake Trout they are the bottom feeders, Salmon should be fine as they are only in the system 4yrs. Big Walleye you should still be ok. Also Brown Trout you may want to keep an eye on how much you eat. Steelhead should be ok.

Tore up the crappies in about 2 feet of water today. Few nice gills too. was using a trout fly with a little wiggle tail I threw on. was the only artificial bait they were really hammering. Gonna try and get out again before their gone but the Ms. might not go for it. Damn women.

Got tired of trolling for salmon so i went on a mission to find open water today. Everything around here is mostly frozen with 12 inches of shitty ices in most places. I went to Mercer, wi and fished the manitowish river, first time there and we fuckin slayed the walleye. I love it when a plan comes together. First spots were shallow fast water dumped into deep rocky areas and i think i got my limit of 5 in about 10 casts. smallest fish was 15 inches biggest was 21. We also released 3 others.

Yea that was my first time there, it's only 25 minutes from my house I'm kicking myself for not going there sooner. Hopefully tomorrows result is the same.

My buddy and I went 5 fish in 5 casts in a row, both of us. 5 double headers in a row, anybody that can come up and do som fishing now is the time. Also got a 13 inch bonus perch tonight.

teaching my 8y/o nephew how to fish and the worst thing happened, 2nd cast

now he thinks everytime he should pull out a fish, lol.

My grandfather taught me how to fish and he passed many years ago and it feels great to teach a younger kid how to do the same thing, since i dont have kids and all. But i promised his mother that i wouldnt partake in the herb while i was with my nephew. I can do that.

If any of you are around the grosse pointe shore line area, it's a hot spot for perch, went out there a couple weeks ago and got about 30 perch all 12"+ in two days fishing off the pier. using a double minnow rig with sinker. filet'd em an brought them to my dad's to fry up, they were good but my dad was convinced it was walleye - his reasoning? "the filet's are too big" lol... felt like showing him the fish carcasses. if any of ya'll live near grosse pointe and wanna come out and fish with me hit me up.
