+rep -- what your method(or best way)for taste test drying

Hey riu im looking to taste test some of my 9 week flowering sativa next week and was looking for the best possible way to taste test dry. Im not talking about nuking them in a microwave or nething but a way to dry them in a few days or so. +rep for all replies of your method or a method n general.

I have done some research but there are all kinds of way to do it and would like some insight. rally im confused on if i should stat them in a paper bag or hang them.

OMG ON WAY DOUBLE POST! lol =P I kid I kid I seen ur post in harvesting too and was waiting on a response. There seems to be hundreds of methods haha.

All the methods for a quick dry though are relatively common in concept. If you are looking for a like 24ish hour dry I would say the best I have read is just putting it on like a heater vent, or fridge top sometimes. Anything with a bit of heat to keep the thing drying out but moist at the same time. you dont just want the outside to dry real quick but anything with that warmth/moisture will help dry evenly

hey man thanks for the reply. lol i had to say something about double posting. some get bent outta shape on it. didnt realize not many people view harvsting and curing. so just keep the bud on something with hat. sound simple. how will the taste be. i dont expect anything like cured but would taste just wondering.

ive tried the fridge top method before.. but what i have found works best for me is to leave the couple nugs or whatever on the top of my desk under my desk lamp. not like directly under it, but so it gets some light and i usually leave my lamp on. it actually works really well for me, may be just how my desk it set up though . plants look great btw

thanks for the reply bro so far im gathering i should just keep them pretty warm for a day or so and then try them. should i have any fans on them or something. or is just the normal ventilation fine.

after a couple days in a bag, you could prolly try them... you wont get the full cured taste, but it will let you know how stoned you will get off of them... i hung dry, then bag dried, then i dried in the curing jar with a piece of cardboard on top...

how long did you do each stage. how long for hang dry, bag dry and i know curing in jars is up to me but how long do you do it for optimal taste

and when you say bag dry you mean paper grocery bags from kroger right?

No no no no. i definitly know i should let her go full term and i will let her go her full 11-12 weeks. Im just sketchy on using this microscope and wanna know where i stand at on bud quality so far . I plan on taking the sample next week . I want her to be all she can be.

I am with you......

the only way i have ever been able to "taste test" Wet freshly cut weed is to use a vaporizer, Its a pain in the ass becuase you have to keep taking in hits to dry it out enough for it to vaporize which takes some time, but when it dose hit its not all ass grassy tasting so if you have the gear give it a shot if that's your thing...

or yeah shit if your going to cut it early at least dry it out right. a week of hang drying isn't that long a wait..

it will still smell like grass, but i had to do that with a crop before and I still really liked the high. i wish i could have tried her at her best though, that was the best weed I have smoked

i hung dry for a day or so, brown paper bag dried for a day or two, then put it in the jars... timing may be diffrent but, you will know when it is dry enough.. it will be unswollen and have a slightly brittle texture to it... thanks for the rep normajean...

To tell ya' the truth, I don't taste the bud until it hangs long enough to be put into a jar, I taste it then before it goes into the jar for curing.

Shame about some of your responses, some people have no class.

My next grow is going to be sativa dominant plants. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. This will be my first attempt at growing sativa. I have several different hazes and a couple of other sativa strains. One is a cross of sour diesel and g13haze, it's called sour cream.

Your girls look lovely, I can't wait to smoke some sativa again. It's all that was around when I was young.

i usually throw some in an envelope and leave it on top of a dvd player thats turned on. always tastes terrible compared to the cured stuff though so unless you need a quick toke its kinda useless
