OMG, we almost lost that game!!?? The 3rd must have been pretty stressful!
 
I was in shock the last 9minutes when they scored 3 goals to tie it up. But we Won and we are 1-1 coming home. GO WINGS!
 
4-0 Ducks win game #3 :( I forgot how the officials like to get involved in playoff hockey! Game #4 is at 8pm Monday in the Joe and we need to tie up the series once again before heading back west.

damn, i fell asleep on the couch after the 2nd when it was 0-1 ducks.

i cant believe we didnt score when it was 5 on 3 PP, then 5 on 4 PP. absolutely rediculous(sp).

and the abdlecator(sp) penalty and game suspension was BULL FAKIN SHIT!!!!!! got body first then the head went with it. its what hockey is about, a clean HIT!! but now you get called for it. might as well be playing junior or pee-wee hockey if your not gonna allow clean hits.
 
Abdelkader gets an additional 2 day suspension added to the 5 minute major and game misconduct levied for "charging" well after the fact on game day. WTF is up with these clowns and why the hell is Gary Bettman still employed :?: Anyone else think the call on the ice was made following a phone call during commercial break, maybe even from the lead clown (Bettman) himself to the officials on the ice :?: There is just no place for politics in the NHL, hasn't there already been enough damage had yet again this year ...

it looked like a clean hit. got the body first. and he wasnt "head hunting". the duck basically got "kronwall'ed"........but we got a penalty.
 
The ONLY thing i think is a factor is that he left his feet. Not saying its not rah-tard-ed but hey, it is what it is. Ironic that Shanny hands it down too.

Must win tonight. MUST. Lets go wings! Ill be smoking Cindy 99 to make sure my mind is right for this game

I have mixed feelings on this. On one hand I agree that they need to let the players play a physical brand of hockey. On the other hand they need to address the concussion problem. The biggest beef I have with how they try to police this is that they base penalties and suspensions on the outcome of the hit instead of the INTENT of the hit. This Abledkader hit looked OK to me, but because the guy got hurt the league and refs based the penalty and suspension on that. If this guy would have got right back up after the hit it likely wouldn't have even been a 2 minute penalty. On the flip side of that, if a guy clearly goes head hunting he should be punished severely no matter what the outcome of the hit is.
 
And Shanahan made his living in the NHL hitting guys much worse IMO. Its a bunch of BS give me Bertuzzi back in the lineup and lets kick some ducktail. I'm smokin some Tutankhamon tonight and gotta say brothers it really nice 3 to 4hr buzz.:joint:bongsmilie:bigjoint:

All good points brother, but what gets me here is that the ref involved and clearly watching the play unfold obviously saw and called no penalty. Furthermore, along with every other official on the ice, he even went out of his way to shield Abdelkader from any wrongful retaliation by various hoovering Duck players. Whatever happened during that commercial break and following lacks any integrity and stinks of an ass clown like Bettman to me :bigjoint:

Abdelkader clearly glides, not strides into the hit and it is the hit that takes him from his low stance on contact to off his feet in follow through, not his intent.
