GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anaheim wins game #1 3-1 :( Although, it was a much closer game than the score suggests. Thursday at 10pm they'll give it another shot ...

Look, we knew this was going to be no easy road. I look for the wings to refocus and come out swinging tomorrow night. If we can steal one at their place early, I like our chances. Thursday is a new day!

GO WINGS

Teemu is a sniper and there's nothing we can do about that. He's 42 years old and can put the puck anywhere he fucking wants. That's a given.
What we CAN do is stay out of the box, namely the 1st period specifically, READ: (Bonino's goal). The empty netter is what it is in a standard desperation playoff mode at the end of the game.

The way I see it, we played them to a 1-1 game with 1 big mistake early and it cost us. The other two games, Chicago/Wild and STL/Kings, both went to overtime, splitting their wins 50/50 between the underdog and the series favorite.

If you'll remember page 2 of this thread, I said before the series, KEYS TO THE GAME: STAY OUT OF THE BOX.

We didn't. They won.

The Red Wings win game #2 5-4 1:21 into overtime! A nice win to take home to the Joe for game #3 Saturday at 7:30pm. Although, letting the Ducks close as they had late in the 3rd needs to be addressed ASAP.
