Does C99 have the spicy taste of Jack Herer?
Honestly I don't think they taste anything a like. While C99 is a close relative of jack herer it has also been worked and breed several times. I've had several different samples of Jack herer over the years and they all had a very similar specific taste even being from different gardens. I've even grown a couple other Jack crosses and they still tasted like Jack :).

The only C99 I've had has been samples I've grown. I used the Female Seeds version of the C99 based on lots of reviews, since bros grimm wasn't selling seeds for several years until recently. I was very happy with the female seeds version, it grew 2 main phenotypes from I think 5 seeds. One grew a bit fuller buds and less stem, it had this kinda fermented fruit smell to it and smoked really nice. I kept that one for a couple years. I ended up replacing it with a cross I made that I called "Sin-D Snacks" C99(f) x Sinmint Cookies(m). I had a pheno that grew similar to the mom and one similar to the dad that I had in my garden for a few more years until I moved and had to let my genetics pass along.

I actually got gifted an original bothers grimm Cinderella 99 seed from a friend a couple years ago. I've been patiently waiting to grow it out.

This is from the brothers Grimm website, I was just trying to point out that if you are looking for Cindy-99 get it directly and that it’s really jack herer.

The dedication Brothers Grimm brings to breeding cannabis seeds was rewarded with a spot in the High Times Top Ten for our Rosetta Stone XX cannabis strain. Danny Danko said, “MrSoul retained the beloved spicy sandalwood aroma and musky flavor of the Jack [Herer] but added resin production, stability, and yield while reducing flowering time. Unlike some poorly produced feminized seeds, these beans pop 100 percent female and grow into heavy plants that need extra support or trellising.”
Understood. Thank you.

To update, the C99 I have had was fruit punch or guava taste or pineapple. The Manipur from ILE or RSC is among my favs now. Chellakutti and Kullu from ILE is up there, all Indian lines. I have some Congo Black germinating now and hope it lives up to the billing, as the review at the website was LSD type effect. The Landrace Team for the Congo, Indian Landrace Exchange, Real Seed Co are the others.

Also have some Laos Highland 2 and Laos Gold germing from RSC. Finished up with Malawi Gold from Hartigear which was a bit indica in the mix but sativa phenos also. Good strong smoke. Lambsbread x Dalat which was very nice smoke from Snow.

The Mango Thai was a superb high for ^^. I have so many great lines to choose from it is a puzzle now. I have to choose one to smoke at a time, hehe. For me, I get one good high per day. When I smoke more than once per day, it is very much diminishing returns, plus I can get a bit loopy with a bunch of thc floating around in my system all the time. Your mileage may vary.

Indian lines are leading and I think the Laos area surrounding are have some great ones. The Thai lines are really from Laos according to Angus from RSC. You could have some pot in Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia and consider it from there and it was grown in Laos. On a map they are so close and stuff goes across the borders all the time, so origins are not going to be clear.

I'm looking for Landrace Strains with a preference towards Indica. Afghani, Mazarr, Ketma, etc.

Can anyone recommend any good, reliable, reputable breeders?

I'm not interested in any crosses at all, just straight landrace strains.

I've only really come across the landrace team, and some other questionably-trustworthy-websites.
I grow Durbin Tried Mazar didnt do to good here. Plants great Not strong enough Going to try veitblack this year..And my Monster Durbin
