Agreed. That particular book, written in easy to understand layman terms, should be required reading for anyone considering organic growing. And quite a few who think they're growing organically. $16 at Walmart's web store. Though if everyone did read and apply the science to their growing efforts prepared nutrient vendors would take a massive hit.
While there is no substitute for using proved methods offered by accomplished growers, understanding why something works provides a level of confidence that can't be beat.

like the hit pharmaceutical companies would take if people would stop believing the lies about cannabis?
I don't have that much confidence in the general public for either issue. Most people are sheep and prefer being told what to use/buy/consume.

That's the basis of marketing building brand loyalty, cannabis growers included. It's no different than people who swear by one brand of vehicle, religion, politics or whatever, most follow their respective peer group decisions. "Yeah, but my buddy Joe said the only thing to buy is X so I bought X because that's obviously the best". I saw too many canning, packaging and bottling plants where nationally advertised products had a run, the lines were stopped, a color ingredient changed and the very same products put in private brand containers that sold for far less than 'big' names encumbered with marketing/advertising costs.

subcools organic soil is what you need..has a good amount of ingredients but once you make a batch you should have it for a long time..the best part is ..all you have to use is plain water throughout the whole life cycle..100%organic ..cant beat that..im tryin to get my batch brewin soon..click on subcools organics under the organic growing title and you will see his supersoil thread with instructions

There is no end all best way to grow. We all have preferences, you choose
"super soil." He chooses soil-less. I prefer Coco. Big Whoooop.. Some people
wanna know exactly whats going in, it makes it easy to tell whats coming out.

hey every one thanks alot for the help. this info should help me tons. yea shrubs first i wanna go with coco also. i live in a little town and the only place to get nuts is a rip off and i dont like buying of the net. i like the thought that i could just make this myself. i just finished my first plant with general hydroponics nuts and did ok. in fact it is drying as i type. had many problems with my first but tons of fun. thanks again everyone for the help
