This post should have been posted last Sunday. If you'd asked me I'd swear that I've post it, seems that maybe I wrote it and didn't click the button or something.

Anyway, on to the point. After 19 weeks of total life, down she went

Inside the living room ready for the chop

stem (euro and pound versions)

Some roots

Harvest

And the result, jarred yesterday.

Was a good ride, not what I expected in the end result, I was actually expecting more. Dried weight is 67,1 grams, should be OK for a couple of months till I grow something else ;)

The worst problem I had to face during the entire growth was a spell of really low temperatures that I couldn't really fight. The plant was in the northern room of a huge house that I can't afford to heat. I definitely have to do something next winter (got an idea or two)

Anyway that's about it folks. Fucken hell I could have sworn that I posted a message about the harvest. I remember writing it ffs! Oh well :D

Did you make some babies? I got about 200-300 grams per plant when I do my RDDWC in the GH waterfarm kit.
did the cold really slow it down that much!

I did get one clone that I systematically abused over the past 3 months, just to see how it behaves. At the moment It's reveging, I'm not counting on it tho, just toying with it.

And yeah, the cold was much much worse that I expected. Might not be the sole culprit, could be a combination of that slowed her down that much, but I believe it to be the main one. As I said, huge house in the middle of nowhere, plant was at the northern room, and the winter was quite heavy. We'll see how the next one goes, this time I'll have to fight only high temperatures :p

Awesome Awesome AWESOME blues!! Congrats on the stellar harvest sir. You are a SCROG champ!

I was following your thread but the recent hack incident threw me into disarray.

Btw, how cold were the temps anyways? Personally I'd rather be dealing with colder temps than hotter as the latter requires A LOT more money to keep in check.

So what are you thinking on growing next blues?

Hey JJ thanks mate :) The temps from time to time with lights off were falling as low as 12C in there. But I couldn't make anything to combat it in the middle of winter with minus I don't know how many degrees outside!

Now I'm kinda restyling the grow room and doing quite a few things around the house that needs doing, I'll decide in the next week :)

Couple more benefits of a colder environment are less risk of pathogens and increased trichome production.

But yeah, 12c is low. The lowest temps I had mine at when I first started my grow was basically the same. It's definitely teetering on the edge there.

So how's the smoke?

It's an excellent daytime smoke. Hits more on it's sativa side. But it's excellent for doing specifically menial jobs where you can get mentally lost in space while doing the job quite mechanically. Obviously with the cure it's gonna get heavier but as it is at the moment it's quite great :) Can't really comment about the taste as the tobacco I'm using is very tasteful (from a local producer), but a couple of times a friend with Old Holborn was by, there was a WW taste but can't put it down to words. And also not the best time for me to taste things as I got a fucken cold and my nose is blocked all the time!

Perfect for being on at work! :)
Yeah, specially for my at this moment of the year, spring has come up and there's plenty of work to be done around the house and the (quite large) garden. You have a splif and then go on painting, excellent shit! :D

On another side now, there's a new grow coming up, the seed has germed, I'll wait for it to stabilise and I'll start another journal ;)

maybe a heating pad turned on low under your resevoir would help fight the low temps during the cold seasons???? Good luck, and Keep it growing.

I'm gonna put a small heating unit with a thermostat inside the room that will keep it warm when it's required. It's not a problem of ideas, there are plenty of good ideas with good solutions, the problem is that i'm skinned and more or less all the ideas do cost some money ;) And right now I want to see how I'll deal with the coming high temperatures!
