Ran out of jars! Never figured they wouldn’t have them in stores & had to order....so, in meantime...

I never thought I’d have trouble finding canning jars in the store! Everyone is OUT; or, don’t even carry them in the store; they have to be bought online.

So, while harvesting the largest harvest I’ve had :D, we ran out of one quart jars & had to order them. Not only do you have to order them, but even on Amazon, the soonest I could get them is Oct 2nd-7th.

My question is:
In the meantime, is it better to put them in a (large?) air-tight container (like a 5 gal plastic bucket with lid) or paper bags? I’ve heard of paper bags before & wondered.

We have a humidity problem & my stuff isn’t drying well anyway, so I am stuck on this ....the humidity in the house with the AC on is usually around 47%, but today it’s 75%, so I’m not getting anywhere.

Any ideas as to which would preserve the buds at a good level of humidity is welcomed :clap:.

I just bought jars of gherkins, they are brilliant for what I need and very very cheap.

people canning more in rural.areas for sure. I know we are keeping enough food around to get through winter if it all shuts down again.

Thanks to everyone who has given such great ideas. I’ve been cutting & trimming for 2 weeks solid now and my brain is GONE. I knew there were a lot of choices, but brain dead for sure :lol:

You just need to order them before you need them. I know this is bullshit. All my ISO is out everywhere too. I was getting the little bottles of 99% for a buck a piece on sale. That's $8 a gallon. Now I can't even get it in stores, and all the prices got jacked up. Same with all the grow supplies right now. Everything is in higher demand now. Too bad everyone decided to start growing weed at the same time, lol.
