I gave up altruism for pragmatism when they killed Tom and Rollie, and I've had my fill of collecting petition signatures, so don't ask, even if you're offering to pay me. You have nothing better to do than to badmouth organizations and people who you should at least be trying to get along with, if not working together on common goals. When I enlisted in the military, I swore to protect and defend the constitution, and you spit on that document every time you badmouth an organization that exists solely because the First Amendment says it can. Your behavior is better suited for another time and place, say perhaps Nazi Germany. My anger is coming from people who have nothing better to do than sit on their asses and badmouth activists who are doing the best they can, against almost limitless opposition, to make the world a better place for all of us. Those of us who knew and loved Tom and Rollie have already learned the lessons that people like pepper and Buckaroo Bonzai have yet to learn. Infighting amongst differing factions of the same movement accomplishes nothing and only serves to slow down real progress.

I think many of us behind the screen have grown tired of it all , the infighting , the political rink rank circus show along with the general depression we all face from a long winter even though its spring .. Seasonal Disorders effect most people in our region and the weather is still playing games and this we know can effect mind body and spirit , I am having a lot more physical pains due to the freeze and thaw effect and I am sure it also effects my attitude at times ..

The double whammy of 9/11 on the heels of the Rainbow Farm tragedy, in my opinion, ended any chance for real marijuana policy reform in Michigan at least within my lifetime. The "Michigan Medical Marihuana Act" does not come close to real reform, but it is a baby step in the right direction. It's not perfect, but that's what happens when you let out-of-state lawyers and activist groups with little to no background or knowledge of Michigan law attempt to plug their one-size-fits-all model into our existing laws. That being said, at least it's something to work with. "Take a sad song and make it better."

I don't have anything to do with any organization whatsoever, but I know counterproductive behavior when I see it, and as far as I'm concerned people who have nothing better to do than badmouth and backstab need to get a life and leave the movement in more mentally stable hands.

Met some good folks over at Gregory's after. Was not expecting the 2 ounce doobie and canna fudge, cookies, brownies, and large crowd passing joints. Thanks, kind crowd! Might have gotten more lifted eating chicken strips on Martin Luther King Jr, than I did drinking coffee at the Bulldog in the Dam!

Stable hands? That would be nice, but everyone seems to have ulterior motives. 3MA, 3MG, CPU, etc. When there's this much money at play everyone has their hands in the cookie jar. I honestly don't know which is worse: dealing with the current law and Bill Schutte trying to derail it, or implementing a new law written by a bunch of money grubbing "patients" tilting the field in their direction while selling out the patients/caregivers that this law was intended to protect.
It will continue to be the way it always has been for me. I will look out for myself, and help out patients in need where I can. Fuck all of these groups that are part of the same "movement".
