I need a new barn to keep the animals in because the old one is falling in and not worth saving. Eventually I want to tear the old barn down and put another one in it's place.

The barn was built out of scrap lumber 80 some years ago so there's not a whole lot to salvage. What I can I'll probably use for projects around the farm. I wish I had one of the old Amish built barns, they last forever.

I got the corner posts set and squared the other day and today/tomorrow I'm going to try and get the rest of the posts set.
From what I've heard, the work up to setting the corner posts is the hardest so from here on out should get easier.
I still have to wait for the concrete to harden up completely before I can build on the posts.

Not sure how I missed the thread update but I did.
Looking good God! Waiting on concrete to cure... fun stuff.
I'm slow moving on my step project, funds and motivation are lacking. I killed all the vegetation on the hillside but that's about as far as I've gotten. I'm going to check up my work today and see if they got longer boards. Mine weren't long enough to get an accurate measurement of the run. I need to get a move on though because before I know it, I'll be in full swing closing pools and wiping out whole colonies of single-celled organisms. Closing pools is way more awesome than opening them. I love the smell of genocide in the morning.

I hear you on the funds and motivation. Building this barn by myself is kicking my ass and it's kinda slowing me down.
I still have to buy all the extras for the building, electric, concrete, plumbing, insulation, etc.. so I'm trying to put away for that and plan my window replacement that I'd like to finish before Winter.
Not sure if it's all going to happen this year.

Yeah, every season gets harder and harder. Every year we build atleast 10 more pools but yet have the same number of service techs as we always have had. Just can't find good help, especially for a seasonal job. Not to mention the quality of products goes down and the problems and need for service calls goes up. Been a busy brutal year. Having the little one has helped keep my head in the game.
I hear you on doing everything by yourself. My younger brother always talks about helping me and learning my knowledge then when push comes to shove he disappears. Half of it is me just me wanting things done right and you know what they say about that...

Hey if the concrete was set I'm sure we could. I've remodeled my entire house, upstairs and downstairs in a matter of 2 weeks lol.Have an RIU barn raising. The two of us would probably finish it up in a day.
All new floors, walls, kitchen, bathroom. Pretty much bought the house real cheap and gutted the bitch and started from square one.
Oh well I love doing this shit, but I love growing even more, just wish I had my room done
