Show me a State where an OBGYN are not present and available?
SALT LAKE CITY — As some women have problems finding an OB-GYN in Utah, it appears doctors are avoiding the state, and others like it, due to policies related to women's healthcare, specifically abortion restrictions.

Don't like the laws of the state that you live in, move or work to change the local laws, lots of options

btw here this is what happens to a OBG in Texas

In Texas, doctors who violate the abortion ban can face severe penalties, including up to 99 years in prison, hefty fines, and the loss of their medical license, though there are exceptions for saving the life or preventing substantial harm to the pregnant person.

Here's a more detailed breakdown of the potential consequences for doctors under Texas's current abortion laws:

Penalties for Performing an Illegal Abortion:
  • Criminal Charges:
    • Performing an abortion that violates Texas law can result in a second-degree felony charge.
  • The penalty escalates to a first-degree felony if the abortion results in the death of the fetus.

  • A first-degree felony carries a prison sentence of 5 to 99 years.

  • A doctor can also be sued by anyone for a civil penalty of at least $10,000 per violation, and possibly more
  • The board may also impose fines of up to $5,000.

Exceptions to the Abortion Ban:
  • Texas law allows abortions to save the life of a pregnant person or prevent "substantial impairment of major bodily function".
  • The Texas Medical Board has issued guidance to help doctors understand how to apply these exceptions, but the interpretation of medical necessity remains complex.

Key Considerations:
  • The Texas abortion ban has led to confusion and fear among doctors, as they struggle to determine how to interpret the exceptions and avoid potential criminal prosecution.
  • Some doctors are concerned that the current laws are pressuring them to offer less-effective care and potentially risk patients' health.

  • Some medical training programs in Texas have been affected by the abortion ban, with OB-GYN residents having to seek training outside the state
OBG are not there for just a papsmear.......they take care of pregnant women is there primary focus

We have some of the finest medicine and best doctors in the world. We also have some of the worst health care in the world. It's what happens when you spend more on administering insurance and denying health care to patients than you do treating patients.
I think most of the world agrees that health care should focus on the patients and not the profits.
Not here! It's ALL about the money, actual health care for the general public is just an annoying encumbrance to these assholes.
I'm a bit of an efficiency expert and a system that spends more money administering than producing is beyond inefficient. And somewhere like big ticks sit a very few insurance oligarchs sucking the blood money off pretty much every working person in the country.

She broke the law. That's what happens to criminals when they get caught.

Right or wrong
It's a State issue, that is the only thing the big bad orange man did.
Which is right where it belongs IMO.
Don't like your State laws, change them or relocate to the State of your liking.

Abortion is murder.
Firstly
The removal of a dead fetus is not taking a life.
the circumstance you are trying to scare me with occurs, due primarily to our health care, happens once in a gazillion pregnancies.
2ndly
I do believe there are exceptions for the Life of the mother.
3rd a hypothetical question deserves nor requires an answer.
I could "if" you to death
