Potential stall or slow seedling growth

Hi guys,

Complete newbie here and I'm attempting a windowsill growth of "Easy Bud Autoflower" from Royal Seeds.

The seed germinated fine and was planted around March 23rd. We're using multipurpose compost and we water lightly if the soil looks in need. The seedling looks healthy but is growing slowly, but there is some development.

The first pic from April 13th (approx 3 weeks old) and the other 2 are from today so a bit of growth this week.

Is everything looking OK to you? I haven't used any fertiliser yet. Is now a good time for that, and if so any suggestions ?

I reckon it's looking as well as expected for the amount of windowsill light at your lat/long. For comparison these are autos sprouted 3/20 and placed under 18/6 led at my lat/long.

I am using Advanced Nutrients Sensi A and B with some Jungle Juice micro and silica. I have been using full strength but I am seeing some tip burn so I may back down to 50%.

Thanks mo. Those nutrients OK for a multi compost grow like mine? I am not looking to invest too long much in the grow it's a project for while in lockdown, are there any basic feeds I can work with?

Yeah - you can use any ferts or compost. I prefer worm compost myself.

Thanks Mo! I have a worm farm for other gardening projects so I'll bear that in mind.

I've been looking at Biobizz who do a cheap trial pack (enough for 4 grows). Do you think that is worth trying and should I buy the indoor ones even though I'm relying on sunlight from the windowsill?

I think all of the nute guys have trial packs. If you are not on lock down, you can also get some freebies from your local hydro shop.
Scottyballs swears by Flora Nova Bloom from start to finish.
Liquid Kelp and Alaska fish liquid are really good. A little stinky for inside.

If you are going to use hard plastic containers and soil, be careful not to over-water. They also like loose soil. They love cactus mix (mostly sand).
If you ever want to try hydro, use the water farm. It is what Scottyballs uses to get 1 pound plants. @Dr.Amber Trichome is growing a Blue Dream monster right now:

Hi again,

Have a question about pot size as I think I'm growing in too small a pot (currently in a 20cm diameter x 18cm height pot).

Am I ok to transplant at this stage and given that I'll mostly be growing on a windowsill what do you think is the best sized pot for my needs ?

I have seen huge plants in tiny pots. It all comes down to how often you want to feed, water and care for your plants. Big pots are more forgiving unless you over water and have bad drainage.

How many liters is that?

I think it's approx 4 litres

OK - That is about a 1 gallon pot. I have had the best results with 7 gallon smart pots (fabric).
I did see a grower on here a while back growing monsters in 1 gallon pots. I don't know how he did it!

Hey so I am now at end of week 5 on the windowsill. The plant is doing pretty well and I'm giving it Biobizz grow 2 times a week.

What do you think?

Looks fantastic. Only feed every other watering. Unless you are giving it low doses. I would say go for feeding it full strength if you are. It looks ready
