Has the stress of the pandemic got to you? Are you feeling less tolerant to those around you? Are you becoming a fucking nazi because of it.
This thread is for sharing how pissed off with others you are now that things are a bit fucking wrong. Tell us how you dealt with these “idiots”.
 
Ive been expecting this level of crazy when I found out about the Russian military attacking our citizens online in 2017. Everything I was seeing with the trolling/data analysis for the years leading up to that just clicked and I knew it was going to be bad.

I didn't expect a pandemic on top of it though.

We will get through it, but shit.
 
2021 dystopia is emerging from the ashes of a Trump presidency, The political dialectic in the US is not creating synthesis due to the very polarising nature of far right ideologies becoming mainstream political commentary. Trump has done far more damage than the despotic 4 years he served. He’s killed truth, many of his devotees are highly dubious about accepted science (flat earth, drink bleach, eat horse wormer) so the polarisation will only deepen. The poor fool followers of these far right skin-heads in wigs can’t discern when advice is reliable so they make poor choices when it comes to medical matters, thankfully the Darwinian evolutionary process is still in effect so they are self limiting in that regard. They have de facto become fascists.

We have a problem with fascism alright. It was already here when the pandemic hit. We saw it in Portland last summer, when Trump's DHS goons drove around and hustled people into their cars with their ID tags taped over so that nobody could identify them. At the smallest level, my wife and I were harassed because we were following the sign that said masks were required to be worn in the State Park bathroom. Seriously. I was standing at a urinal when some goon in the shitter started asking me over the stall wall why I was wearing a mask and then arguing with me when I said "because that's what the sign said". Last year, fascists were enabled at all levels.

Trump broke so many norms but he gave fascists the green light. Fascist cops colluded with fascist paramilitary groups and they planned out things like sending armed kids into a riot with badges in the form of a blue glove.

The methodology used to trigger this overt demonstration of fascism was “divide and rule”; play to the insecurities of those who have achieved less than they hoped, possibly due to irrational and inflated views of their worth. Privilege has a massive downside if ego inflation is the unconscious goal. Trumpkids were so unaware of how this unconscious creeping fascism works that they even adopted a nazi aesthetic in their hair and clothing, Nazi narcissist creeps.

You saw how quickly the fascists in our society closed ranks around the police when defunding them was being talked about.

They even have their own flag now:

It was carried into our Capitol Building on Jan 6 along with Trump flags and the Confederate battle flag of Northern Virginia. Most def a fascist symbol. .

Two years into the pandemic I find myself telling the truth far too often. I live among the redhats and have always kept my mouth shut about most everything. Telling the truth is never a good policy when you want to continue passing and repassing with your neighbors.

It's a good thing I don't see anyone very often. I've shouted back and forth with my across the river neighbor about erosion of the riverbank more than I've talked to anyone face to face lately.
