Class dismissed.
Are you letting Daniel Evans do your thinking for you? Wages are not profit, they are a direct exchange of labor for money. Think of your labor as a product and all you are doing is bartering your labor for an item of equal value, which in this instance is currency. I OWN my labor.

You are trying to claim that wages are not income. That is false. Completely false and you need to be called out for saying as such. You can have your own opinion but not your own facts. That's where I come in.
OH... well, since YOU said it, it MUST be true... now who is blowing smoke?

i know, i have that credibility that is beyond question.

Constitution of the United States of America said:
The Congress shall have the power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration

I have no problem with opposing views. What I don't like is people ignorantly blowing smoke up others' asses.

And it's Beer 30. Cheers!
If that's homebrew, you need to pay taxes or ATF will be after you.

I have two sources of "income" neither are taxed by state or fed. Its in excess of the median earned salary in the USA per year too and its all legal. You see thats the whole trick, having zero tax liability while earning enough to have a good life and having it all be legal. Most years I get back a good chunk of change of tax money I never had to pay in the first place. All you taxpayers have been subsidizing me for years and years. Its almost like legal theft.

Do you put a value on that wine and beer and food and then go on to pay a tax? Why not?

For the life of me, I can't imagine why any citizen would be in favor of a tax on income unless they have bought into the class warfare bullshit of the Progressives circa 1895. Its Marxist through and through. It is anti-freedom, anti-liberty, anti-free markets and anti-success. Does that sound like America to anyone here?

And by the way, for the umpteenth time, roads are paid out of state and federal gasoline taxes. Fire trucks, stations and firemen are paid out of county and state taxes. Schools are paid out of local property taxes. There is NO need for a federal income tax at all. If the federal government would just go back to the 2001 spending level, ALL personal income taxes could be eliminated in their entirety.

Seriously folks, do you really want to continue to live in a country whereby the government, through the IRS, wants an accounting of every penny you earn and spend? Do you want to continue living in a country whereby the citizens live in fear of tax audits? Do you want to continue living in a country where the 535 politicians in Washington can manipulate your behavior through the IRS tax code? Wouldn't it be much better to scrap the entire IRS tax code, all 77,000 pages of it and install a simple, end user sales tax instead?

Lets take the power away from Washington and return it to the people. Support the F.A.I.R. tax folks.

Can you quote the law that says you must pay income taxes?
There is no such law. Never said there was.

"All wages are included in gross income for purposes of determining federal income tax liability, and are also subject to federal employment taxes."

This ^^ is copy and pasted from the IRS site. Not my words.

I think the whole tax system is bogus. My wife and I are both self employed and we MAKE our taxable income so low we hardly pay anything.

Wages are not profit, they are a direct exchange of labor for money. Think of your labor as a product and all you are doing is bartering your labor for an item of equal value, which in this instance is currency. I OWN my labor.

I agree with you here, but try arguing your OPINION with the IRS. Can you quote anything from the 70k pages of the IRS code saying "wages are not profit, they are a direct exchange of labor for money." >> Therefore not taxable.

I assume your arguing wages are not taxable. Again, ^^ read the second sentence straight off the IRS site.

I'm not disagreeing with you bud. The IRS plays dirty and by their "rules".

As a fundamental starting point, it must be stipulated that the U.S. Constitution does not, and more importantly – can not – authorize Congress to impose a direct tax on human labor.
If a 1% tax on a person’s labor were to be held constitutional, a 100% tax on labor would also be constitutional, subject only to the whim of the political majority or the desire of government bureaucrats. In other words, the Constitution does not, and cannot, authorize Congress to use its limited taxing power to force the People to labor for the government.

Wesley Snipes agrees that you should not have to pay Federal taxes...Too bad he won't be able to make a movie about it until 2013

Snipes isn't in prison because he failed to pay his taxes. He is in prison because of failing to file his taxes. I think its ridiculous to give a guy 3 years in prison for misdemeanors.

Words may have transitory meaning in internet forums. Their instead of there, succeed instead of secede, then instead of than but in the world of law, words do have meaning and they cannot be changed. "Taxpayer" is one who is subject to taxation. If you are a taxpayer, then wages are subject to taxation. In other words, if you are a resident alien, your wages are subject to income tax.

OK, now we have to define exactly what a "resident alien" is. Many tax protesters define a resident alien as one who resides in Washington D.C., where the Congress has jurisdiction. What say the rest of you?
