Please help me with some important questions...!

Good day fellow RIU'ers I just want to ask a couple questions. I am planning my next run soon and with it I have gathered this information:

I'll be using the following:

A 600w light, preferably MH/HPS all in one, with a cooltube.
A 4x4 or a 5x5 tent.
I want to either use Ebb/Flow or Soil, And I want this to somewhat be perpetual, Its important to me that I pull in or around 6-8oz or 2-3k every round.

How many plants would accomplish this?? I already understand the concept of taking clones, vegging them out, and sticking them under 12/12. I just need to know:

for the starting round how many plants should I go with to get around the above mentioned mark?? My plan is to veg some out under the 600 take some cuts from those before i put them into flower, and keep those cuts, the best ones, for the next round, and the same process after that... and so on. or something simalar to that you get the idea.

any help is appreciated, I really just need some good ideas if you could give any useful information to how you guys do it please please please chime in... :blsmoke:

I'd start off growing in soil, fox farm's ocean forest, imo. I'd personally put about 20 plants in 2 gallon pots under 1 600watt HPS for flowering. A good grower will get around 1/2 gram per watt of light... keep your hopes realistic starting off and ask all the questions you can think of. The more research you do on your own, the better questions you'll have and the more responses you'll get. Good luck man.

In the case you say 20 plants I was thinkin maybe 6-8 at most, I'd rather not have so many I just want to get some good ideas flowing Im not going to be starting this for quite some time yet.

...in that case, and your set on 6-8, look into topping and lst your plants. The finished size of your plant will depend on the size you decide to put them into flower. Alot of indoor grower perfer shorter indica domiate strains that finish 2-4 feet tall.

...what I rec above (20 plants in 2 gallon pots), I'm also rec putting your babbies into flower at 8 inches tall.

...I've actually put 40 plants in one gallon grow bags under 1, 600 watt HPS before , yielded 1-1/4 pound ...bongsmilieI put them into flower straight from a rooting clone.

6-8 plants in a 5x5 space...that's a lot of extra space for those babies to grow...you can probably veg them for quite some time with that much space(depending on height) like fiend said, do some lst or topping to help your plants fill out the extra space and increase overall yield...

Unfortunately I cannot run 1,600watts like that, I am even scared running a 600 that long... I would maybe consider doing a larger number of plants like that if I had more seeds but I dont have that many.... your input is still greatly appreciated thanks alot. anything I can get is like gold to me lol . So you basically had 40 cuts or clones that you flowered?? kindve like a SOG method?

Really?? 6-8 would fit fine in a space like that?? even with lights, fans, carbon filters, etc??

I think he meant 1x 600 watt hps...(1 meaning quantity)

I read wrong I just seen the 1,600 thinking it was a comma, sorry. But damn 40 plants in 1gal pots essentially from clone then?

Whoa 40 plants in 1 gal pots, in a 5x5 space...now that's kind of crazy! haha...the most you can probably do in that space would be like 16-20!

Yes, I am. thats why I made a post.
Oh, now I get it...you can probably push 21 flowering plants in there and harvest 6 at a time, every 2-4 weeks maybe! or 20 plants and harvest 10 every so often...but be sure to have another space to veg and clone, and replace the harvested plants with fresh new plants..this is essential for a perpetual grow...

20 seems like way too many to me.... I was thinking getting the max out of 6 or so and replacing those 6 with 1ft tall clones every run.

Hi F2H :)

Might be worth taking a look at this if your looking for fast high yeild http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/the-flying-dutchmen-pot-of-gold/prod_249.html

I know this is not what your asking about , But it may be the answer your situation ... Pay close attention to the write up and the estimated yeild from this seed .

Rotating crops is what im heading for ... a few plants flowering while the others are vegging in a diffrent location with clones comming up behind them , Getting the cycle started is the tricky bit but in time you can be harvesting and have other plants comming up and ready to flower all within 2 weeks of eachother .

Hope this helps a bit , Keep us posted on what you do as i think a lot of new growers ( like myself ) can learn together :)

Good luck

V :peace:
