Pissed on my Plant

This subject has already been discussed to death. I have, and know many people who have as well, used urine as a source of nitrogen. BUT! (and this is the big part) THE URINE HAS TO BE DILUTED! DO NOT URINATE DIRECTLY ON YOUR PLANTS, YOU WILL BURN THEN HORRIBLY!! I dilute it to 5-10 parts water to one part urine. I don't know if this is a wise decision for hydro though, but you'll have to ask one of those guys around here. ALSO ANOTHER KEY POINT>>> If you are one of the folks in our grand country who eats fast food 4 or 5 times a week, YOUR URINE WILL HARM YOUR PLANTS. If you eat junk food, your urine will be filled with bad "stuff". Your body uses urine to excrete wastes. This is totally unlike feces, however. Urine transports overages in certain vitamins and minerals and nitrogen as well. If you eat healthy, you should be okay. Now, by healthy, I don't mean eat all-organic food, or go on an atkins diet, or anything outrageous. But if you have a balanced diet and aren't taking any crazy pharmaceuticals and you stay away from the rougher drugs (i.e. cocaine, heroin, etc.) your urine actually helps your grow efforts. I know most of the users on here don't like to use urine, like FDD, who has probably grown more than any of us will dream..but it's all a matter of preference. There are HUNDREDS of posts on this forum making fun of urine as a "fertilizer" but I'm willing to bet if those folks did some reasearch of their own on the subject, they would take it a little more seriously. To each his own though..

that is really awesome that urine can be used as a fertilizer. i hope you guys have fun growing crappy weed with your piss. when you can buy some nutrients for under $5 at any hardware store or home center, why go through the trouble of using piss. urine is providing nitrogen... so you have to add something else for flowering and rooting.

maybe when modern society fails and we all go back to the earth, your neat trick will come in handy... for now i will stick with the commercial fertilizers.

Excuse me, msdsm39. I apologize for bringing a little revalation to your aeroponic world. You should probably get off your high horse and realize that aeroponics isn't the only form of horticulture. It doesn't look like you have any experience with soil, so don't you worry about my "crappy weed". Nobody said that urine was the BEST choice, just that it is a choice to add nitrogen. NO SHIT you would have to add something else to flower and root, you dimwit..urine isn't a fucking cure-all...You worry about yourself and YOUR "crappy weed" because I guarantee that the weed you grow probably does not taste as good as soil-grown.
Not once have I or anybody else ever likened the taste of my weed to piss, so you have your facts twisted. I'm willing to bet that anybody on this forum who used urine correctly will say the same. BTW, I'm a little curious as to why you are reading a post about urine in a grow op, but you only want to bash people who support it. Fucking retarded lol.

One need only look at the maintenance needed for indoor growing compared to outdoor to know which is more in tune with the plant. Outdoor growing will create a more complete plant every time over indoor.

The only reason indoor growing is done is to be covert. If weed was made legal, the indoor industry would be crushed, except in perhaps the most urban areas, but I'd bet co-op's would replace them as well. Outdoor co-op's.
so let's nip the indoor vs. outdoor right here and now. There is no contest to match up against. Apples and oranges.

There is just a larger indoor industry because of the law.
Any outdoor grow can outproduce indoor if allowed to openly grow. The rest is hype..

Not at all.
I know many outdoor growers and none of their outdoor is ever as good as their indoor.
An expert indoor growers buds will outperform any outdoor bud.
You are wrong and the only one who is blinded by hype

indoor allows for more control.

albeit it takes alot of natural resources to have that control. essentially its trying to create the perfect environment, 24/7 - 365, which you cannot do outside.

its all a trade off and balance. personally, the best is a matter of taste and is quite subjective. the price I think is more of a reflection of the natural resources/time/energy thats gone into the cultivation/distribution than the quality, although its clear that the highest quality will sell the fastest, at any price.

Agreed. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages.

For example, indoor allows for year round harvest while outdoor is largely limited to the seasons.

Obviously, outdoor is much less expensive than indoor.

If I had my druthers, I would grow primarily outdoors and limit my indoor activity to clone production and experimental grows. You simply cannot beat that unmistakable taste of quality bud grown in the earth under full sun.

Besides the fact that growing is illegal, indoor gives you more control. If your goal is to maximize the genetics of the plant, then you need to control all the factors of growth. I think any grower worth his salt could adjust to different growing techniques, but indoor gives you the control to create the best bud.

my plant is growing really well now but some of the leaves are pale around some parts. I'm gonna tryn get some pics online but I don't have a camera with good enough definition to show what I'm talking about. does it have 2 do wit the nute burn?

my cat took a dump on my plant... should i leave it ?
