Urine has ammonia in it. Would you pour ammonia on your plant? No, you shouldn't. That is why cat urine kills plants too. It has a high ammonia content in it.

If you want to raise the nitrogen level and are too cheap to buy nutes, then plant some kind of legume (bean) in the same pot. They increase the nitrogen in the soil as they grow.

Look up "companion planting" online, it's way better for everyone to do it that way.

Ammonia is converted in urine over time. if it is applied fresh and diluted, there is no harm. Again dilution works. No one ever said urine should replace modern fertilizer. That being said, urine is not a horrible fertilizer if applied correctly, just like any other fert. That's all...

Using the train of logic of only doing what's best for plant yield, if you grow indoors u are doing it half assed to start with. Only an outdoor grow will produce the most COMPLETE plant. Even if you piss on it.

If urine is sitting in the soil It will turn to ammonia.

In diluted form, the plant is able to metabolize the urine safely. Again, in diluted form the ammonia levels aren't that high. That's all.

I still wouldn't do it, there are many better ways now.

i do it for my houseplants once a year. i mega dose on vitamins and drink a ton of water.
but i dilute like 40 to 1. otherwise, for like 3 bucks you can get some fert at the grocery store.

flush with alot of water and never do it again pee has to much nitrogen especially cuz peeing is your bodys way to get out toxins and really really acidic...

You can make a basic nute out of your own piss but it has to be diluted 3/1 and never poured upon the leaves.

i think we need a plant vegged directly from peepee..... that would settle this one way or another for good; lets see if i can take a clone.......

I wouldn't lie.
The nitrogen and ammonia in your pee can be mixed down into a basic nute.
It also causes a chelating effect in the soil and breaks down other enzymes which the roots can take up.
This is of course the recourse of a desperate man who has no cash at all as even the cheapest of plant food would be a better option
