I decided to go organic sip in one of my tents. I did my own spin on it. I like 5 gallon buckets, so I used them in my setup. It's pretty simple, One bucket inside of another bucket, with a few modifications to both buckets. I was able to pull this off without even going to the store! lol I have a few tubs of hydroponics stuff from old builds.
I'm going to run the Zkittlez in them.
I used 2" net pots.

I spaced them out 5 per bucket,

That's badass. Good thinking with the five 2 inch net pots. I'm going to make one of those for sure!

Zkittlez (Seedsman) x4 Fem I tossed the runt.

17w 3000k LED
Temp: 74f
Soil

I gave them a small cupgrade.

I drilled a 1/4" hole in the bottom of the cup. (Ok, I'll stop with the jokes)

I'm going to bottom feed until they are ready to go into the new sips.

What's been going on Joe?
Just keeping up with my indoor grow...2-3 more weeks puts me close to harvest time.

Things are looking good on your end.

Loving the addition of sip buckets to your grow, I'd love to incorporate an idea like that into my outdoor garden this year. Been kicking around a lot of ideas on how I want to move forward with that to make life easier...

Maybe you could do a double bucket like me and bury the bucket in the ground. Run the fill tube out the top like normal. I've actually been kicking around the same idea, lol.

That could work. Simplicity is my number one goal this year...I want it to be a Ron Popeil style garden, "you just set it, and forget it".

For just 3 easy payments of $19.95, you too can grow killer weed in your bathroom. But wait, there's more...act now and get our proven terpene booster free, just pay separate shipping and handling.

I'm like Billy Mays trying to talk you into it, lol. That way I can see if it works.
I had planned on setting up a timer/pump and drip system. But I like experimenting with different ideas too. I tried Kratky style hydroponics last year with some late season plants, and it worked very well for me, about as easy as it gets to boot.

Nice, I gave Kratky a good hard look a while back. I was too afraid of root problems, I've been burnt lots of times by rot and funk and all kinds of stuff. I just tossed my RDWC, fuck that thing. The sips took its place.

I hear ya. I had no control over reservoir temps outdoor, so I added pond-zyme with the water/nutrient mix. The roots stayed healthy and mostly white with minimal algae growth and no rot at all. It's not the end all be all, but it works and is super low maintenance...grew some great tomatoes with it too.

These were my Kratky girls, started in August I think, possibly early September. Basically 12/12 from seed outdoors. Nice, manageable plants.

Decent looking roots, little bit of algae and discoloration from Mega Crop.

Wow, that's nice. I wish I could get my roots to look anything like that. Mine always turned into a huge bird nest just below the net pot. I had to throw away the Fruity Jack because they were going to rot. It was a judgment call, either wait and see if they start to die mid flower, or pull out. They were starting to get that funk smell. I have been messing with it for 6 months. This was my 4th crop. I don't know what the problem is, I have all the boxes checked as far as temp and all that. 6 months worth of messing around and wasted time. I didn't harvest a single thing out of that tent. Good thing I have two bloom tents. I'm gun shy now, and am going to step away from hydro for a while and just run organic soil in one tent, and coco in the other. Later I'll see which one I like better and convert the other one over.
Back when I was adventurous I was drawn to hydro. Now that I'm older I like the simple things better, lol.

Root Rot? Embarrassing stains? Does your res smell like something after a night in the red light district? Try OXICLEAN today!
Why use chlorine for a sterile res, when Oxiclean supercharges your system with the oxygen roots crave!
Just one scoop of Oxiclean, and BOOM those roots are gone!

Looking good, perm. How long till you flip?
I'm on day 36 now. I was going to go 60 days. We'll see how big they get, I might have to flip before. Once they perk up from the transplant I'll start topping them. I was going to go au naturale and not do any training or topping, so I could pick a mother, but that's not going to happen. I am holding a clone back of each until after smoke.
I've only got 2 grows on this 1000w DE. I'm learning in flower it kind of puts off a lot of light. I think I can let these get bigger than normal before flip and still have great light penetration. I'll have to do some training.
My last tent run was pretty good. The Cream Cheese CBD and the Black Sugar were massive. I only vegged that last run for 30 days. I know I could have pulled a lot more out of it, but I was running out of smoke, and didn't want to be out for a month.

What have you got lined up next?
What do you think of indoors?
