I swapped to the hps, but kept the light schedule. Still taking it to 60, then I'm going to do something I've never done before, and that is change the light schedule by 30min each day until 12/12.

I need to defoliate like crazy, but my mother in law has been here for like a week. When I do it stinks up the whole house. She doesn't even know I grow. I think she leaves today...

Day 11 from seed
I transplanted them into 2gal bags. I used the same soil that is in my sips. These were going in there, until I decided to run something else for the comp. Now they'll chill with the cougars. I tossed another runt.

I don't know where this came from. There is nothing in here to eat, so she's doomed. I'm actually surprised it survived the fans.

Tonight I started cutting back the light time. I'm going to shorten it 30 minutes a day until I get to 12/12, so that will take twelve days.

Perm's Worms @Budzbuddha
I love these little machines. I have over 3,000 of them in this tub. They double in population every 3-6 months. They also eat half their weight in food a day. I probably have 4 pounds of worms, but I'm totally guessing.
20190327_125041.jpg 20190327_125039.jpg 20190327_125033.jpg 20190327_125046.jpg

I try to keep up with table scraps and cardboard, eggshells and stuff. I put in some defoliated leaves sometimes.
20190327_125054.jpg 20190327_125836.jpg 20190327_125912.jpg

I put this leaf in here yesterday.

In a pinch I have worm food. This stuff actually goes a long ways. You just dust it on the top once a day. I only use it when I have to.
20190327_130043.jpg

I don't have to feed them every day. I could leave for a week or two and they would be hungry when I got back.
I fish a lot. Bait worms are stupid expensive. Here they go for about 10 for $4.50. I have all of the fishing worms I could ever want, and some pretty good soil to mix in. I think I have about $40 in the whole thing with the worms.
If anyone wants to build one, I'd be happy help you build one and with the do's and don't's.
If you watch what you put in it, there is no smell or bugs. I lift the lid and it smells like rich dirt. No bugs anywhere, too. Banana peels and stuff track in fruit flies and other eggs, so you do have to be careful.
It will make some great soil, though!

That late defoliation on the Sky Lotus looks to have worked very well.
Thank you.
I'm thinking about doing one more, but I'm flying blind on these plants. I don't know how much they are going to stretch, or fill back in. I still might do the bottom third after I take a clone from each.

Day 7

I guess I haven't shown these yet. These are going into my sips. Those sips have been cooking for a while. Right now these are in shot cups.

Yeah, they'll be a part of my outdoor this year at the very least. I need to get some things in order and get a larger tent set up, then maybe I can run some clones of it as well...compare indoor to outdoor.
That'd be great, I love holding back clones in search of a great mother. Now I've got a mother problem, so I think I am going to start selfing them in another area. I'm too paranoid to have a small tent with pollen in it in my grow room.
I wish I could grow outdoor again, or in a greenhouse. Are you going to do indoor starters?

Indoor starts was kind of my plan, but I'm not sure. I'm flying by the seat of my pants here, so I won't really know what I'm doing until I do it. The only thing I'm 100% on is not wanting huge outdoor plants...aside from that, who knows what I'll do.

I transplanted into the sips tonight. I guess we'll see what they'll do soon enough.

Day 60 Veg
I've been working down to 12/12 30 min a day. Three more days and I'll be at 12/12. Then I'll switch to the 1000w de hps. I'm pulling out the poinsettias soon.
OH! Good news. I'll put this here, since there are only about three people that are going to read this. HLG got back with me, and they are going to send me a prototype led light to run in the competition! So, that's fucking awesome. I'm going to use it in the SIP tent. They said that what they are sending me will bloom a 5x5, so that's exciting. I'll be doing a thread on it.
