i guess im more on the mourning side than the petty argument side of this situation. i feel arguing about anything after this is pathetic...........go hug your kids.

i've got my animals doing concealed carry now so that they are never at the mercy of a heavily armed lunatic. it was a chore to teach my cat to wield an AR15, but i see no other way to solve this other than with more guns.

the chickens do not carry, but my outside cat does carry and watches over them from her perch on the duck coop.

i will sleep well tonight knowing that no coons will slip in from the darkness and try to rape my innocent white hens.

Did your wife let you borrow a few bucks to pay for all that hardware?

i had to tap the bank of unclebuck pretty heavily, but it was all there.

did i mention that i don't have to worry about bills or rent for the better part of the next year? all paid off already.

no need to dip into my wife's rather healthy assets to arm my cats and dog and tortoise.

Stopping coons from raping white hens, eh?

Sounds like a copycat...

Well we have people who are saying that Guns are okay and we must protect Gun rights.

If those kids were allowed to carry guns they could have defended themselves so lets give guns to kids!

What we have is not a gun problem, we have a mental health funding problem!........
Many, I'll say most, of these shooters are mentaly ill and should have been in treatment. But funding for mental health is an easily cut "entitlment". So we've closed most of the mental hospitals in this country and turned our mentaly ill out onto the streets. They flounder around until they commit a crime, then we have plenty of money for prison cells, or body bags!
In America it's easier to get a gun, than mental health treatment.

Correct, body bags. Our prisons are way to crowded. The gun control issue, we need to watch closer who we sell the guns to. Sadly, we cant give some guns and not all, besides felons of course, at least here in Colorado.

That's my point, many of those inside our overcrowded prisons, are really mental patents, that finally committed a crime & wound-up in prison. They never would have been in prison if we had proper mental health funding. And it's cheaper than prison.

how about instead of comparing US gun laws and crimes to other countries, we compare things like access to mental health, and mental health in general in the US vs other countries? where are the stats on that shit? what percentage of american prisons are full of the mentally ill vs prisons in other countries?

that's the discussion that needs to be going on, not comparing apples to oranges with things as trivial gun laws. guns have been legal in the US for hundreds of years. daily killing sprees are what's new, despite ever tightening restrictions. why don't we focus on what's CHANGED rather than what's been a constant for over 2 centuries?

Imo this has real merit. cn

The NRA must be squirming. Two sets of killings in two days? How many in the last few months? And gee, no one used knives or poison or chain saws or choking - they all used guns. guns don't kill people, people kill people, but guns sure make it easier for psychopaths to kill LOTS of people really fast.

Yea , I'm sure they aren't

NRA : well if you allowed us our second amendment right, our school teachers would have been able to bring their own guns to school ending this before it got out of hand.
