How far are your from sears mi? If your close enough go down a get some dairy doo and till in. If your not close enough either find it in bags around you. I always add dairy doo and horse manure from a local guy close to my house and sometimes so straw mixed with chicken shit and such I compost down from my chicken coop.Hi MichiganSpin,
I have a few questions if you don't mind me asking.. I'm about to start an outdoor grow as well (Michigan represent!) We were thinking of buying a lot of fox farm soil and just rota-tilling. Would it be cheaper to mix our own soil? What about nutes? Is there a way I can talk to you in PM? Thanks.
Cheaper? Depends on what you mix in I guess. Probably cheaper, but mixing soil is some work. If your soil is alive, you don't need nutes. Well water and teas. A simple solution would be to till in some cow manure and maybe some peat moss bales on your plot, then use the ffof to fill your holes in. Maybe a little dolomite lime w the peat for pH balance. Go ahead and post any questions on here. I'm not curating a clean thread here, just trying to help and share.Hi MichiganSpin,

Dude if your just going to till it into the ground just get a load of dairy doo. Or if you live around any horse ranch's they’ll give horse manure for free and generally as much as you like.Well I'll be working with approxmatiely 140sq.. A buddy of mine wants to just get bags of FFOF soil but thats gonna be like $400-500 bucks.. What is the best route I should go? I feel like it's getting a little late in the game to do a supersoil (coots/subcool)..
nobody gives away composted manure, thats why its called black gold! I can get free raw cow shit but compost is 30-50 a yard.Check Craigslist for composted manure. It's usually free if you load it or a small charge if they load it.
