I know i could probably check this relatively easily but does anyone know if these are UL certified? been seeing a lot about them

Weird too because I run 2 sf2000s roughly same output and I had them 24” about my seedlings maybe 2 weeks old and they did fine

UL certification is EXPENSIVE and is no guarantee that the light is HQ. A light can be comparable (or not) without the ULC

The light has a silicone coating to prevent moisture

Oh I'm just wondering for insurance reasons as I look at light options for the legal cultivation. I was considering running these in veg rooms but idk I still got alot of research to do

The ones I received for my shop today have this sticker. I'm gonna send them off an email and get a proper answer. Any ETL certified item can be looked up on Intertek.

That's looking legit to me.
They sent me a copy of the Intertek certificate so looks like they are ETL Certified. You can actually call up Intertek and get them certified yourself I looked into it like 8 years ago and it wasn't that expensive and they would come to your site to test and certify.

I am using 2 SF4000s, one in veg tent and one in bloom tent. I have not had issues with burning plants at the recommended heights, although I started them a little higher... but no where near 3 or 4 feet above! I do have one plant in flower looking very light with another plant same strain, but looking green. I think it is a PH issue in my case. Trying to rectify that.

Many shades of green.

I suppose, but I would expect two of the same strain, same seeds and same treatment would look alike! Lol. The lighter one is taller and the other is bushier.

Just got in the spider farmer sf2000. Wanted to see how it’ll do against the blurples I already have. Looking for some input on these and wondering results people are seeing with these.

I’m currently running 2 bloomspect 1200 (says ~260w actual each, haven’t tested but I know it’s less and has 2 fans in each.) I was running one of these lights and seemed to be growing a bit slower than I’d like so added the second and they took off. No signs of light stress until I got both lights under 20” so moved them back up to 22” and doing great.

Seems like people are getting much better results with the Samsung diodes and MW drivers. May need to change the tent around slightly for the shape of the light, but will the SF2000 still produce a solid yield for 2 plants in a 3x3 with only being ~200w? I could supplement extra light with one of the lights mentioned above or I have some smaller blurples if needed.

If I like this SF2K I’ll most likely be grabbing the 4000 for a 5x5 on my next grow.

Thanks in advance for any input
The SF-4000 rocks. I tried running it at full power and light bleached several young ladies in my nursery. Reduced to 50% power doing great. You'll get a great yield with the SF-2000 in a 3'x3'. It's actually perfectly sized for that space. I strongly feel the SF-4000 is too much for a 5'x5'. I light bleached large plants that were in my nursery about to transition into the flower room at full power when I first got the light. It's a great light, but a light that can't be run at full power is a waste of hardware. I plan to put my SF-4000 back into the flower room with my 660W quantum board and 2600W of HPS HID lighting. It's great for flowering at full power thus far and caused no light bleaching of full grown plants on a 12/12 photo period, but I could not run it at full power in a 5'x5' without causing light bleach.

How close were you to the plants when this light bleach occurred? It looks like you're 4-feet off the top of the plants now, which seems really far. Are you sure you didn't get nute lockout or something else that just looked like light bleach?

The LED board always stays in one position mounted at the top of the tent. Due to the level of intensity these high powered quantum boards emit there is simply no need to hover the fixture 6" over the canopy. You would fry the plants in 1 day of an 18/6 photo period. No, it was not nutrient lockout. All of my nurseries receive the same fertilizer from the same reservoir. The only plants that suffered light bleaching were in the Q board nursery while operating at full power. Since reducing to 50% the plants have responded beautifully with no additional light bleach damage occurring.

It seems a lot of people are light bleaching their plants with these fixtures and then calling it a PH issue, nutrient lockout, or a magnesium deficiency. In reality a lot of people are just misusing the hardware and their fertilizer mix is not the issue in most cases. These lights do not operate like T5's or HID fixtures. It's a completely different animal altogether and there is a learning curve. Unlike HID fixtures these Q boards will easily light bleach your plants absent heat. If it's more light than the plant can handle photosynthesis shuts down and light bleaching occurs. Here's a pic of the 660W Q board in my flower room and the distance from the canopy. The plants underneath are loving it. I've seen some grower's using cheap LED fixtures that have to be mounted 4" from the canopy to be effective, and those grower's should have promptly sent those shit fixtures back to the manufacturer and asked for a refund. If I place my hand underneath the 660W Q board at 6" away the intensity is as strong as my 1000W HPS hortilux lamp. These are not the LED's of 10 years ago, and their output is to be handled with care and respect or the health of your plants will suffer due to a lack of understanding.

Wow - I just got mine a couple months ago and have them hanging at the suggested distances. I wonder if they made them weaker now. I have the new ones with the dimmer switch on the outside, and they are turned up to 100%.. My veg plants are green as can be and my flower tent, one looks a lighter in color than the other one, but I have another plant, same strain, same age in there and that one is normal green.
