Obamacare's Entire Financial Model is In Danger of Collapsing

A little boy goes to his dad and ask, "What is politics?" Dad says,"Well, son, let me try to explain it this way: I'm the breadwinner of the family, so let's call me Capitalism. Your Mom, she's the administrator of the money, so we'll call her the Government. We're here to take care of your needs, so we'll call you the People. The nanny, we'll consider her the Working Class. And your baby brother, we'll call him the Future. Now, think about that and see if that makes sense." So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has soiled his diaper. So the little boy goes to his parents' room and finds his mother sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed. The next morning, the little boy says to his father,"Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now." The father says,"Good, son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about" The little boy replies, "Well, while Capitalism is screwing the Working Class, the Government is sound asleep, the People are being ignored and the Future is in Deep Shit.

Here's a news flash for you see4, before the ACA, Americans weren't forced to buy into that pool, it was a choice.
You accuse insurance companies of jacking up rates for the sole purpose of demonizing the free market and making the federal government out to be the savior.
What you conveniently left out were some of the reasons insurance companies are forced to raise their rates. No mention of medical malpractice?
Because of the threat of lawsuits, doctors are forced into practicing defensive medicine. Does the practice of ordering more tests and procedures than necessary as a protective measure drive up healthcare costs? How about the fact that healthcare jobs dominate lists of the highest paying careers in the country.

So, who is not understanding reality. Malpractice reform is virtually excluded in the ACA, what will happen when doctors and insurance companies are not afforded relief in way of tort reform, who will be left to pay these settlements, what happens to the doctors and insurance companies?

so then what your saying is you have no health insurance currently? am i right? no? well alrighty then..current health=you paying for uninsured..for the ones that DON'T

just like your auto insurance
just like when people rip off stores

remember my friend, the shit always rolls downhill to the consumer..period!

Ted Cruz: "If we don’t do it (defund Obacare) now, in all likelihood, Obamacare will never, ever be repealed. Why is that? Because on January 1, the exchanges kick in, the subsidies kick in...their plan is to get the American people addicted to the sugar, addicted to the subsidies, and once that happens, in all likelihood, it never gets…”

“It’s over,” Hannity cut in, “it never gets repealed.”

It won't be repealed. And can I get your house when you leave the USA?

instead of running from one media's "breaking coverage" to anothers..you chicken littles and naysayers would do much better..READ the info on the website www.healthcare.gov

I am not going to read the information on that website and Health Care is not a birth right (or a birth-forced-choice in this case). The Federal Government has over-stepped it's bounds and I am not supporting this legislation at all. The whole idea that money has to control our physical lives in order for it to 'work' shows me that our way of thinking is extremely flawed and out of context.

Nobody I know supports this bill...honestly..actually I can think of 1 person...

If you don't agree with it, don't sign up. Remember...the US GOVT works for YOU! lol jk they do the fuck they want

schuylaar, you couldn't be farther off, in fact you threw out another red herring and didn't address a single issue in my quote.

First off I do have health insurance, I also supply health insurance for all of my employees that have been employed by me for more than one year.
This is a service I choose to purchase, big difference my friend.

As far as me paying for the uninsured, I've been doing that for years but again, it was my choice.

Let's put the shoe on the other foot, what if the government forced every adult American to purchase a gun and ammunition to protect us from foreign threats, what would your reaction be?

i'd be first in line..no lie.

That's a pretty weak response, regurgitating the same ole progressive talking points about Fox news.
If your source of news more fair and accurate than Fox, why don't you share some reliable and factual data that supports your claim instead of just spouting off.

i was merely correcting the error..the ACA was erroneously referred to as "bill"..how is it my fault that fox news and the other rags..GB's the blaze etc are the only ones i know of that refer to the law as a "bill"?

yeah, before they had the choice to not be insured, rack up huge bills, and pass on the costs to everyone through the backdoor.

you still paid for them anyway, idiot.

The libtards are soon going to wonder why there is a 2 week wait to be seen by a doctor when you have the flu.

three weeks to see a doctor when my back was seized up to the point that i could barely breathe. private insurance, kaiser permanente, 2008.

for some odd reason, countries with socialized medicine have that number beat. how is that?

Moving the goalposts are ya Buckie.

Unlike you, I don't mind helping paying for those who truly cannot afford healthcare.
My biggest objection is the federal government forcing Americans to purchase any kind of product or service, especially if they are the regulators.

The answer is simple: you're comparing anecdotal experience to objective data. If you compared the average American wait time to the average socialized wait time, given what you just said, it sounds like the United States would have the shorter wait time.

too bad that no nation that covers all their citizens (for less than what it costs us to cover only some) lacks an individual mandate. they all have one.

it is a basic tenet of keeping costs down, to get everyone in the pool.

i'm sorry you find common sense, time tested, empirically provable, successful policies to be such a drag. but it was found 100% constitutional, so you can cry in your cornflakes all night.

Don't compare obamacare to real universal healthcare... It's chalk and cheese...
