quick update for my man budologist.....here is where my outdo is at....all clone, but i really tried to dial in the main-lining....and things are looking great....i even got a vortex (3rd pic.)...that i think i am going to run under the sun......was really doubting i would be able to work her as a cut.....and the flav (second pic) has killer structure! the 4th and 5th pic are my three mained d-trains ready to flip tonight....just wanted to show you guys where i like to see them at the flip, about 4 inches above the ring....they have been building roots in their smarts for 14 days.....there is a noticable point where they shift from root growth, back to heavy veg...(hitting there stride)....i watch for that very closly, as soon as i see it...boom `12/12....:-P........p.s. i am really glad you guys gently challenged me to work clones (main-lining)....i am discovering yet another layer of bonzai wisdom.......i owe you guys, nugs:leaf:

you are a smart man nugs. I've been debating on 20 gallon or 30 gallon smarties, but you just talked me into the 30's. I've never grown in smart pots before, but hopefully if i transplant my clones in them in by June 10th they won't be deficient by september especially with a liquid supplemented diet as well. Damn, i'm gonna be looking at some money invested in soil, but thats growing. Love that pheno #2 of vortex. Has kinda a peachy snapple smell to it.
here is a little nugget for you......20's as you know get heavy, 30's quite a bit more......depending on where you order your smarts, you can pay a little extra to have handles sewn on them so you can move them around......one person can easily drag them, two people can lift and carry.....this only works with the black ones, as their fabric is much stronger then the tan ones....but they cook in the sun, so i wrap them in light colored burlap......i move my 8 plants everyday, in and out of the greenie.....i don't even let dew touch them when they are in flower, cause i fear mold like the plague.....so the handles become a real asset to me......peace, nugs

I have to have handles on my 10's that are indoor. Only way to effectively move them around imo.

I see a lot of new SmartPot knock offs... usually without handles. I will only buy pots with handles.

The leaves are such an awesome deep green, absolutely gorgeous.

Gonna be a treat watching how you do outdoors :)

they are always so vibrant because i hang with them most the day, i am convinced of it..the best fertilizer is your own shadow! it is getting so intense, that i have an internal alarm that goes off if just one of them gets thirsty, this morning i was woken early, i knew something was up, so i went down to find my sup. lighting on two hours early! i forgot to adjust a timer, so my lights were not synced.....i am convinced they woke me up to turn the light out.......

Not to hijack, but this is on topic. I have not used nor do I represent this company, but I LOVE Craigslist deals. Saw this today; "oxy pots" a smart pot competitor, only $2 a pop through this source. I imagine its a start up looking for exposure they have handles, and finally link expires in 7 days. http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/fod/3038628267.html
now, if i could get those in 20 gal. and tan....i would jump at it!

I have the same thing.... even in the middle of the night. "Hey its getting hot in here, you forgot to open the passive intake!". I love those girls. The only way I can think about the future of my set up is by sitting in front of everything and just letting it come to me. I tried the planning thing, fucked up a few times, I let the plants do the talking... Just gotta make sure its "quiet" enough to listen.

Hell yeah they speak to you if you listen. I do my supercropping with my eyes closed, just using touch and feel and letting the plant speak to me.

What up Nugs...very nice thread! I'm gonna be using your tomato cage method here on out since I'm doing something pretty close anyway. I noticed your AOS was purpled out at 28 days...when did you start seeing purple and what are your temps. I'm certain I have the BCS pheno and my bud structure looks exactly like yours but I'm not seeing any purple here at day 30ish.

i started seeing pink at 14 days......it spends the days in the greenie 80+, and nights inside 75..........you probably have a jtr dom. pheno......which is dank too.....there are more than two phenos.....mine has a lot of color, and smells like bcs, but still has some jtr structure.......the jtr pheno has no color and is very lemony....mine smells like lemon/lime margaritas......i am still waiting to see what my third pheno is...day 18 and no color....can't quite get a grasp of the smell..........plants with color like bcs have nothing to do with temps.....

the vortex was really close to getting the flames background, but just missed....i don't think my ace is very photogenic....she looks way more impressive live.....my hope is that my bcs ace will get the fire.....for some reason, my pistils are really light across the board, and i really needed the "red" to set off the green of the background, but just didn't get it...i think it is from serenade....but i will take that over mold any day!:leaf::-P

Well I know that that they can color regardless of temps but considering the phenos I'm almost sure I have I wonder why the one I believe to be BCS didn't turn. It's very short, smells just like BCS is described and in fact looks just like the actual BCS that Sub has video of and pics aside from no color. The other weird thing is I have two JTR Dom based on plant structure but one smells like lemons the other smells just like BCS.

Im thinking at this point it probably just didn't get the color trait. Oh well, it is still dripping with resin and looking to be heavy yielding so it's certainly a keeper!
