what are some bas nutrients I can use ?
For hydro, stick with tried and true basic nutes:
Dynagro grow or foilage pro, Jacks classic or professional, Masterblend.

For soil, stick with the same shit used in the pro-ag industry, which is simple powdered varieties.

Cannabis doesn't need any kind of "special" fertilzer, dude, it's a weed, and can thrive on the same shit tomatoes can, so don't let the nute companies and ignorant stoners convince you otherwise.

It doesn't matter what brand of dissolved salts you dump on your plants it won't make them yield more. Bud mass is governed by root mass and wattage. If you want larger bud upgrade your lighting and let the plant grow out under it. Notice the huge amount of space in between the branches; you want tighter nodal stacking which will make for larger stems and more bud sites.
LEDs are not good for this in my experience unless you drop bank. Start seedlings under a T5 and/or invest in a hid lamp; you want that tight stacking to begin on day one. Once they stretch out it's already too late.

I agree with you. I had a plant with super gappy node spacing, and it was just a waste of space. Now I cull even females that start to grow under my HID with a bigger nodal spacing than i'd like. Upgrade your lights, upgrade your fan to cool your lights, upgrade the bud coming out of your garden. You get out what you put in. Just because Jonny stoner told you to use w, x,y,and z doesnt mean you're "putting in good shit". Do your research and see what works for you.

You didnt answer my question. What were you using before you switched? I dont care how many parts a nutrient line has as long as I get the desired results.
I’ve used, advanced, heavy 16, elite, nectar of the gods, veg+bloom, just about everything both in soil and hydro megacrop is some nice stuff inexpensive to boot.

No. It's not.

See: Liebig's law of the minimum

A plant can only use nutrients in a balanced ratio set by the lowest available nutrient.

Here's what happens 9 times out of 10. "Grower X" uses a balanced base nute during veg that keeps his plants green, growing, and happy. Then in flower, they switch to some stupid fucking unbalanced "bloom" nute that drops N and raises P and K. This dumb fucking "bloom" formula is then combined with a bunch of other "bloom booster" shit raising P and K levels even further, driving shit way further out of balance. The end result is that "Grower X" burns the shit out of the plants in flower with excess P and K, and by week 4-5, the plant starts to eat its fan and sun leaves because it's developing N, and other, deficiencies due to not being fed a balanced diet, which means the plant can't use everything it's provided due to the law of the minimum.

The bottom line is that nute companies make a killing by telling growers they need their 6 different bottles of bullshit to make good buds, and ignorant ass growers keep perpetuating this myth despite the fact that the evidence demonstrates the contrary.

Stick with a base nute and learn to grow before you start fucking around with "bloom boosters", as they're pretty much a waste of cash and do more harm than good. Don't believe me? Just look at some grow logs and you'll see an endless supply of burnt leaf tips and cannibalized leaves not even half way through a flower cycle, and yet the grower thinks he's doing great because the plant is actually producing flowers. I don't know about you, but I would rather have the flower produced from the plant that was healthy all the way through flower as opposed to being burnt, deprived, and produced through eating its own leaves to make and ripen bud.
I totally agree, bloom booster...if you know how to use them only need to be used about 3 waterings in my opinion. Even your base nutrients are over prescribed...when I watered by the schedule from Advanced nutrients I burnt shit out of my plants...now I use 1/4 everything with a 20% run off. I use bud ignitor for 1 week of the prescribed 2, big bud from week 3-4 maybe 5 but I take down my base notes when I use it. I use over drive in the last two weeks when half the pistols are changed..you do get a good new flush of pistols and the calyxes swell to fuck. I pay much more attention to environment than nutrients. But I must say PK boosting is a timing thing, not a constant feeding thing like the greedy cunts tell you to sell you more over-priced shit. If your leaves have even very tiny brown tips you are setting the plant back.

LED`s are great, but you need to have your plants in the focus point of the lights...they are very penetrating but have fuck all side spread. But yes, you have to drop some coin on them..I could have bought 10 halide/hsm lights and ballasts for the price of my lighting, probably more actually...but I dont have to worry about heat or power consumption and I am still getting 1P per cubic metre.

I tried it along with others it grows. I only use megacrop anymore. Really good stuff an it’s inexpensive. I always try stuff for my local shop but but converted My experiment room into a shroom room now. Honestly I’d look at megacrop.
THanks. I will look into it. I really like the results I get with nectar, its just so much, pretty expensive, and takes a while to mix and feed. with 3 seperate feeding schedules now, I find myself spending more time in the garden than I have planned for.

Megacrop is one part start to finish. You can get 21 lbs of it for 55-60 bucks an it will last for a long ass time.

Don't get your seeds from Growerschoice again....not sure who they get their seeds from or maybe they breed it on their own....but seems it's a common complain about the quality of their seeds (poor genetics).

I'm for one not buying my seeds from them again.
