New seed bank in canada ... thoughts?

These are definitely ‘on-trend’ strains with new genetics, some are labeled as F3, but I’d worry about whether they have been back crossed, are stable at all...
Wondering what an experienced grower makes of seed banks like this one, gotta say that some of what’s sold out does look tempting lol

But presuming they actually made it to my door; I just wonder how the strains would compare to what established seed banks put out
I have a feeling they would be a pain in the ass to grow without issues, but I see growers/breeders growing beautiful plants from these strains

Well, you can pay via paypal, right? I've seen "cash by mail" on a bunch of sites, so that's not really a red flag to me. I do think the budget website is a little questionable, but for a new seed bank it kind of makes sense.
I might give them a try when I'm in the market for new seeds, post what happens.

I’m just not familiar enough ordering from different seed banks to know - I have friends who grow from these kinds of breeders and they love it, but honestly most of them scored their seeds via giveaways. The price is right to try it out I guess.

What is mainstream now was "newer genetics" once. There's also a phenomenon called "hybrid vigour". It's pretty interesting.
When I order from a place that's new to me, I'll usually start off small so if I get ripped off it's not too big a deal. I haven't been ripped off yet, but it's a definite possibility when buying things online.
You never try anything new, you'll never find out if there's something better.

Putting cash in the mail for anything is risky business now a days. Thats what makes me cringe about it.

Yeah. I've never done that. But a few of the older guys on here have. Aside from the seed bank keeping it and saying they never got it, they might actually never get it. Any postal employee could grab it.

Cringe? why? Simply send the cash using the recorded signed service because I have been doing this for years with attitude seeds and even get 15% discount for paying this method and also there is no paper trail either

Because I function in a world where sending cash in the mail is obsolete and can only cause issues.

I also happen to function in a legal world. So I will continue to buy from legal sellers in California.

Those not allowing credit card purchases are doing so for a reason and honestly I don't want any part of that.

Adults have bank accounts. We use them to buy things. With our cards. Weed seeds can be bought legally in the US.

I dont send cash in the mail because its a huge risk and there are much more secure ways to do it. Making it obsolete.

I buy legal, I grow legal, and I dont sell my stuff.

I dont live in the grey. But hey you do you.

I’m in Canada and so I don’t really worry about the legal/not-legal thing related to seeds and growing. But it’s a big deal for some for sure. I grow for personal use but only buy black market product because the quality just isn’t there on the legal non-medical market in Canada.
There are some killer craft start-ups in the legal market in Canada but the way the laws work, they are forced to sell through a larger LP which really sucks and let’s ‘corporate weed’ control the legal market exclusively, which I am totally against. So the best growers still drop on the black market, and that’s what I want lol

the strains at a seed bank like this are in line with what a lot of smaller batch producers are growing now, and I wanna pop some of my own

The best weed I ever had was bought through the OCS. They had a tiny amount, it sold out fast, and it never came back. I'm guessing it was a craft producer.
It was called Strawberry Ice, I don't remember what producer was selling it, or what the claimed THC percentage was.
I forgot how to tell if I was speaking English, so I didn't say anything for three hours.

you know it’s good when...
I think that more quality small batch product will hit the market in time, the government regs need to carve out a space for smaller producers so that they can thrive. Just like the craft beer segment - imagine if every craft beer maker had to sell to Anhauser Busch or Constellation Brands before they could get to market. It’s crazy... totally backwards. In the beer market you have the big producers trying to make their own ‘craft’ brands to compete in that segment. The cannabis they can’t make the quality that is needed to get AAAA bud with their big ass factories, so now what’s happening is they are squeezing all the small producers trying to break into the market for every dollar they can, it’s disgusting.
