Proper pasta made from hard wheat / durum, with bronze dies for optimal rough texture that helps the sauce cling better, enhancing the taste of the paste itself. Pasta, not noodles. Only pasta brand approved by italian federation of chefs. Rummo Linguine 13 + Rummo Sugo Al Basilicoe :D

Pimped with a little smg, lots of oregano, and some extra basil and s&p and some parmesan... tastes like restaurant pasta not dutch supermarket noodles with ketchup.

+ minced beef + onions and garlic. Bought a small supply from wholesale as this will not get old anytime soon.

Goats cheese and herb stuffed chicken wrapped in prosciutto. Chive tats and garlic sautéed asparagus.

For the goats cheese filling;

couple small sprigs of rosemary, tyme and 2 sage leaves. Put in pestle and mortar with unground sea salt and mash into paste. Add 1 small garlic glove and mash again. Then add pepper and goats cheese. Turns a wonderful pistachio green!

Made tortilla soup (sans tortillas for me) and with only 1/2 the chicken. Imagine my surprise when I walked back into the kitchen to check on the cooling chicken, to tear apart for the soup, and find out that my 14 y/o female terrier rescue hopped up on the counter and ate about half of 2.5 lb of chicken thighs! Apparently she can levitate for chicken, will miracles never cease.

I supplemented those meager calories with a Pacifico cerveza. It's been a rough week :lol:

Got busy at Polish deli, proper line of people, and, they picked up some dutch words too so things went a little smoother. They had 3 different types of salami than last time which seems like a good sign, picked one with some tomato based outer layer. Also roasted pork and, the most expensive ham they had, some tasty smoked ham, which costs exactly the same as some cheap wet plain ham in a regular supermarket. Crazy. Again, it tastes like wellness. It's salty, peppery, smoked/roasted, but with hints of wellness herbs and wood. It’s like a whole new concept for me. Never was a big fan of salami but this is so good.

Pre-dinner… got pierogies again too. I don’t mind spending extra for quality, would still buy if they’d charge double, but behold this 85-cent croissant, includes the 1.5oz meat, ‘buttered’ with mustard. It’s almost like free weed…
