Fundamentally this is correct but the air fryer is still worth it, and many models are less than $100.

The air fryer is a mini oven which is very efficient in terms of time to warm up and electricity used compared to a normal oven.

The air movement allows the food to cook quicker and distributes the heat more effectively.

Air fryers are great for small portions and/or for single meals and often works better than a microwave to re-heat certain foods (but does take longer).

I use mine a lot in the hot summer when one doesn't really want the oven to heat up the home.

Traditional smoked mackerel. I’ve seen happier fish but I appreciate its sacrifice.

Bun with raw herring and raw onions. Haven’t had that in like 4 decades. Not going to change that, it’s for the wife.

And last but not least, a family bag of cod:

After 3:30 snacks just don't have the same ring as midnight but OH well...
The sardines label said 5 servings but it sure tasted like ONE to me.
I'm not that much a fan of tomato sauce but with a little Frank's I'm liking it...

Anyone think I should have grabbed more than three 23 Oz bottles of Franky's for 99¢ a pop?
I'ma try to find more next jaunt to the Amish folks across the way.

Pooched up nicely after that, though...lol
