My first grow box.

Alright i am gonna kinda do this in sections cause it's late and I have been working on this box for 2 days. I had a desk just hangin around so I chopped it in half and used the left side as my front door. I had to coverup a couple holes so I used scrap pieces.

my pics aren't that good as I am using my camara phone.

Whats the dimensions of the box? Lighting? Ventilation? Give us some details brotha! Good luck

lol working on it my kepad is fucked cause my little one tore some of the keys off it sucks.

So i got home and started putting things together broke one of the lights cause the plug in light sockets would not stay in the power strip think i pushed to hard. got everything some what together and hated it because I had extention cords running ebery where not very stealth like but it was good for the night.

Box size hold on I will messure: 20" wide 24" tall and 24" deep

now the plant that is in the bubbler is a fem snow white seed bought from nirvana she is about three weeks old but I just can't get rid of her. here is a kool thread that I found. https://www.rollitup.org/seed-strain-reviews/93223-i-supect-seeds-i-just.html . germed her and had her under lights and she just didn't do a thing. So I cut some holes in the frezer cups(not fun) put the river rock on the bottom and then put perlite around her to hold her steady and put her in the bubbler. she seems to like it in there. For now.

got home cut 4" inch hole for fan. stripped the box made it so i only have 1 wire coming out of the box in the back.tied all lights together in electrical box with wip coming out to plug in for power. i did this so i can plug in a timer and then plug into the timer. Put box close to fan so i could plug it in. then plugged in pump.

still day 2:
Drilled 2 1" holes in bottom front of box for a conecter to let fresh air in. they stick out on the outside i am gonna cut them flush with the box and then cover the whole thing with a loose black cover to stop light from gettig in when I go to 12/12. lights r now on 24 7trying to get that SW to root. put mylar up on floor, walls and ceiling was thinking of doing the door but too tired.
Made up charcol filter and put it on fan to quite the fan down. if you have problem with not enough pipe you ca flip the fan around but, then you have to reverse the wiring to spin the motor the other way. like i mentioned before i have experience in this.

I just finished watching 21 for the second time. I liked it better this time but still didn't love it. Some of the acting seemed contrived or over acted or something..

Ok now, i bought two rubber container for the bubbler instead of using a pump to clean the res i am just gonna get the new water ready switchout the bottom move the air stone as I went through the cover instead of the side with the air hose, add water and cover. i did cover the entire bubbler box with tape and mylar to stop any lights getting to the roots. as suggested. put everything back and started writing this.

i had 2 gradaddy purp seeds germing but they didn't sprout so I grabbed two more put the other 2 with the new ones soaked them and we will try again. the closest hydro store is more than an hour away i can not get any rockwool so any suggestions about getting the seeds to root would be great. I was just gonna plant them in starter soil and then transplant them like the SW. i have some miracle gro nutes but, they r no good. I think I can get some organic fish emulation if that's right? im not gonna feed anything till i get another plant in there.
Speaking of that when i changed the water today after i dropped the ph to less than 6 i added some more perlite. I was thiking as the perlite drains into the tank i could use 1/4" peastone river rock instead perlite.just a thought. i think thats it for now. All suggestions welcomed i am a newb at this, im broke but i need my meds. like all of us. later

TEMP control sucks. I had my t stat on the floor of my cab it read around 78 last night when I closed the door woke up checked it and it was around 84 not too bad. So I moved it onto the vox closed the dorr went back 5 min later 104. Not good if she was like that all night grrrr.took out 2 of the 42 watters left one and added 2 20watt doesn't seem that much of a change but I'm sure it will have affect.
the box it self is on my 3 season porch in closed I do have box fan in window push heat out of room but this is still way to high might have to put in small intake fan??? I have the means of leaving the door open to cool off the cabinet. not too worried as it gets cooler i can put more lights. humidity seems good. between 40 and 50. SW looks healthy her leaves weren't as preeky as they were yesterday but I think it was heat check her later.

About 15 min later got the temp down to 85.5 jesus that scared me i might go to an 18/6 lighting having the lights off from 1 to 7 hotest point of the day. any thoughts?

Day3: well I have the door half open and temp is doing ok. I might have to move the whole boox into my closet to control the humidityand outside temp as because its a little humid today a d tonight. I checked the ph in the water and it rose to around 7.0 or over so i changed the res.
SW is looking good her top leaves are looking a deep green. No root growth yet either but i don't expect to see anything.
Having some trouble germinating my grandaddy purp seeds I got them from a friend so I don't know how old they are. checked them todayand the peper towel was really cold so I tossed them in an area the was warmer hope that works. most seeds I have germed only took 24hr. kinda frustrating...If they don't pop I will try my last 5 all at once and if that doesn't work. i don't know bag seed till i can get some good strains.

Day 4: no germination of the seeds yet very disapointing. temp is stable around 84 I still the door is open about half way during the daytime closing it at night. I checked the ph in the water and it was above 7 again I think it might be cause from the miracle grow perlite. So from now on I will soak all perlite river rock in a ph 6.0 or less water before adding it to the bubbler. I changed the water again and closed the door. I am going to check the ph everyday bringing it back to under 6 if need be and change the water every 2 days.
SW is looking healthy better than she did before I put her in the bubbler. she is starting to develop new growth above the dead leaves and is nice and has a bice dark green color to her. I wonder if I should be misting her and cover her to devolpe more root growth but, she is not moving in the perlite anymore as she is getting stronger. till tommrow peace.

Day5: no changes no seed germination I did toss 2 mid grade seeds into a cup of water. I will see if they pop they should I have had good luck with them. hoping to get a male from one of them so I can cross it with my snow white. checked the ph and set it back to under 6. I did buy some big bloom nutes i think it's a 15/30/15 which I will use through out the grow. not feeding until I have another plant in the bubbler. So tommrow is another day.

day6: put the ph back to under 6. I put the grandaddy purp seeds in a cup of water for 24 hours they all sank so I decided to toss two of them in a seed starter and two of them in peat boxes with just perlite. I washed the perlite put the 2 boxes in a bowl of water and let them sit, we will see what happens. I did take the 2 mid grade seeds and planted them also in see starter with a cover and let sit. so time will tell.Till tommrow

Day7: I decided to feed my girl she looked really hungry. she grew between 1/8 to 1/4 inch since I put her into the bubbler. I used .5 teaspoon of bloom boost 15/30/15 added 2 gallons of water balenced the ph and put her in. mysted the seeds and yesterday put another 150 watt bulb back in the cabinet. I am checking the temp like 4 times a day to make sure we don't have temp problem. Wish there was more to write but, now comes the waiting game. later

ahhhh more to write kinda gave up on the grandaddy purp seeds I took the two out of the perlite put one in the seed strter fert but who knows at this point I had 2 mid grade seeds in the starter fert also but removed them acutally couldn't find them. I went to the hydro store today and got 3" cups rockwool and hydroton pellets. So I am gonna germ 2 mid grade paper towel method and get them into bubbler. My buddie has helped with getting this all started for me so he didin't have much dough to get started himself I had a few thingsling around the house so I put him together micro mini bubbler to get him started.

Day8: Today sucked. I balenced the ph and saw that one of the nid grade seeds sprouted so I left her alone till i could revamp my box closed the door about half way because it was a warm day temps were around 85.

Woke up around 2am and saw that SW was turning a pale green I freaked out got her out of the water. fired up the soldering iron and started making holes in two new plastic cups. worked out real well. I did go to the hydro store so I balenced about a gallon of water soaked a rockwool and some pellets. i did bye some three inch net cups but the hole size was to big so of course i improvised making new cups. balenced the water flushed SW from the nutes I was using the 15/30/15 cleaned all buckets and covers. I don't no if she is going to make it I only used .5 teaspoon of nutes in 2 gallons of water still might of been way to much for her. got her transplanted in pellets put the new seed in the rock wool sprayed her and put a cover over her to help produce growth. here r some pics I really hope she pulls through with every thing she has gone through and coming from a bad batch of seeds i hope I don't have to lay her to rest. i am affraid that the seedling will grow faster than she will. I did notice that she was devolping new roots so that is promising. till tommrow. Anyody out there 200 somthing views and not too much feed back intresting???
